Green River is a little bit like stepping back in time. The covered bridge was originally built back in 1873. This photo was taken in the late 40’s. The oldest house, still standing, is the old tavern built in 1769. If you drive out here these days you’ll know it for the well “house” in the front yard with a plastic dinosaur poking out. #1940

Green River Village, Vermont. Knowing when the bridge and church were constructed I estimate this was taken in the late 1800s to early 1900s. Many of the structures are still seen today. Look closely…you can see the covered bridge. Side note: Mike and I were married in the church back in 1998. 💚
