Last year at this time we welcomed baby Misfit to our farm. She was born in Alaska and was shipped here with several other deer last November. We picked her up from the Indianapolis Airport and couldn’t wait to get her to her new home in Guilford. She is such a beautiful yearling and fits in nicely with the rest of the herd. Look at how much she has grown since last year!

Reindeer Ridge is temporarily closed but will reopen with a bang on Saturday, November 23, 2024. Our reindeer have commenced shedding their velvet, signaling the start of the rut/breeding season. While the current scene may seem unsightly, the reindeer will soon be spotless and eager to find love. Although we're closed, we're hard at work preparing our farm for your return. We can't wait to create more cherished memories with you! Stay tuned for our forthcoming announcements and be the first to know!

Do you see them??? Sweet Baby Luna has antlers coming in! She is just 5 weeks old and her antlers will grow very quickly until the fall. She is getting so big !!! Luna will continue to nurse from Cupid until September even while she’s enjoying grains, alfalfa and willow leaves. Baby reindeer are the sweetest 💞.

Comet wants to remind everyone that Friday and Saturday will be our last days open to the public until the fall. If you want to meet baby Luna and all of the other reindeer, go inside the reindeer pens for feeding and maybe even a quick hug, you need to book your visit now. Rudy is so happy to finally be free of his old antlers! We can’t wait to get in there now to replace the shelter that he tore up and put fresh gravel down. Rudy will be moved out and the girls will be moved in. This will be the barn area where we wait to see if we get any calves this year 🤞🤞🤞.

One of our reindeer shed their last antler last night! We can’t wait to weigh it to see how much it weighs. I’m sure they feel so much lighter.

Sweet Mistletoe is THRILLED to join Cupid and Sven now that rut is over. Look at her go!❤️❤️❤️

Big, beautiful Sven is a bit disappointed that he won’t be pulling Santa’s sleigh this year 😔. Sven dropped his first antler last week. This doesn’t hurt them, it just means the new antler will be emerging soon. Bulls drop their antlers in December/January and the cows keep theirs until Spring. There’s still time to visit Santa and the reindeer before Christmas and a few limited tours after Christmas. Check out our remaining times and dates at www.reindeerridgerentals.com. This past weekend was sold out and so much fun! Even the Grinch got into the spirit and took a ride on our new train! Reindeer Ron and I are so grateful to all of our visitors that started their holidays with us.
