Check out this week’s Employee Spotlight! Joshua has been with American Cruise Lines for about 6 years now and is currently a Navigation Mate. Having started in 2018 as a Deckhand, he has since continued to develop and professionally grow with the company. Joshua has had the unique experience of working in almost every marine officer position onboard.

When asked what his favorite part about working for American Cruise Lines was, Jacob said, “About every couple years, I end up in a new role within the company which allows me to build on previous knowledge and expand my skill set, which is what I like most about this company.”

With over 35 itineraries visiting 25 states, we travel along the rivers, as well as the coastal and inland waterways of New England, Alaska, the Pacific Northwest, the Mississippi River system, and the Southeast. With fewer than 200 guests on board, our small ship design creates an intimate environment in which our guests are treated with the utmost care and attention. Crew members take pride in knowing our guests by name and understanding their preferences.

Year after year, American Cruise Lines has won more prestigious awards than any other U.S. cruise line, including Time magazine’s 2019 World’s Greatest Places award which honored American Song, the 1st modern riverboat in the U.S.A.
