This little dude was big mad! It wiggled off the hook and immediately went to biting the deck. I donned a glove before releasing this 8” sea monster, and yes it definitely tried to bite me. Gotta be fast! 🤘😝👍

Fair seas for some first timers yesterday on their 4hr. We got on a pretty hot bite of Vermillion right from the start. Lots of throwbacks were mixed in helping us keep our dolphin appeased(zero fish taken). We were putting together a good box of fish, but weren’t seeing much variety. We decided to go looking for some Triggerfish for the second half of the trip. We fished a few spots where they were cleaning the baits off on every drop, but no big uns to throw on the ice. On return, Elliots other two boys were waiting at the dock ready to scope our catch and fire off allll the questions.😆 I think they were headed straight to Peg Leg Petes for fresh catch lunch. Beautiful day!

Triplets! Everyone showed up sporting colorful Magellan tops(myself included), no doubt we were the best dressed crew in the entire Gulf yesterday. The weather was beautiful, the fish were hungry, we saw turtles, of course we got a visit from the dolphins aaand we got a Blue Angels show on the ride in! They caught up enough for a few meals before the dolphin tax started, ending the day with 22 keepers. Loads of smiles out there and hopefully lifelong memories to cherish. A few videos of the fun in comments.

We had a wet ride out yesterday, but it was definitely worth it! The fish were chewing everywhere we went, but the dolphins weren’t cutting us much slack. Eventually we found a solid pile of fish that weren’t guarded by flipper and loaded the box! Everyone then took a turn catching a Red Snapper before we headed after the Ajs. The biggest jack went just under 44” at the fork. Lots of smiles out there yesterday and I’m betting a few sore arms today! Great day with a great group of guys! Water temp 69.5

The weather wasn’t very friendly last week, but we were able to get offshore on Wednesday. Chelsea and her fiancé Tavian did a split trip with Rob and they made fast friends. We had to keep moving around to stay on the bite, but a good grade of Mingos were steadily going in the box. Once they caught up their limit, we quickly hit a few spots for Triggerfish but didn’t find one to take home. We spent the last portion of the trip trying to catch AJs. It looked like it was gonna be easy pickens, they were fired up and busting baitfish on the surface. Unfortunately they were moving a lot, so it was hard to stay on them. Tavian had the only hookup and the big DT made it look easy! Great weather & awesome crew! Water temp 67

We had perfect weather yesterday on our double father son trip, and the fish were hungry out there too! First stop we got on a good grade of Vermillion and had quite a few rigs taxed on the way up by the jacks & sharks. Mike & Steve caught up a few for dinner, but let the boys handle all the big catches. Ryan and Karl were really hoping to catch a Barracuda, so once we had a few good live baits we went searching other reefs. We didn’t wind up finding any toothy critters, just a few more Jacks. Ryan caught the one pictured on spin tackle with a wire leader, and Karl had the biggest of the day 40” at the fork!

Tuesday I kicked off my 2025 season with repeat customers Mike & Michelle. Top goal was to hook their son John to his first Amberjack, and we found a pretty decent one out there for him. Not much of a trigger bite to speak of, but we did reel up a few keeper Mingos for dinner. Water temp was 65 in the pass, it’s about to get fishy out there!
