Navarre Beach Safety Unveils New Public Safety Dashboard, in collaboration with SafeBeachDay.com and Watchtower Digital Command Center, for Real-Time Beach Condition and Safety Information
Navarre Beach Safety has launched Public Beach Safety Dashboard, in collaboration with SafeBeachDay.com and Watchtower Digital Command Center. SafeBeachDay.com is a first-of-its-kind digital public safety tool that provides Navarre Beach residents and visitors with up-to-the-minute details on aquatic risk, wave height, water temperature, stingray activity, and more. The free website allows beachgoers to take advantage of a variety of safety tools to supplement their beach visit.
βIn Navarre Beach, beaches are one of our greatest and most utilized public resources,β said Austin Turnbull, Beach Safety Division Chief, Navarre Beach Fire Rescue. βWeβre proud to help provide this safety tool to our community. We believe that by investing in a beach safety communication tool like SafeBeachDay, weβll keep our residents and visitors coming back for years to come.β
These digital beach safety dashboards help to collect and broadcast various types of safety data: Water safety conditions, including reported rip current locations, and wave height.
- Emergency weather alerts from the National Weather Service.
- Tower locations, and directions.
- Frequently asked questions about beach amenities, activities, prohibitions, hazards, and local events. (These are still being updated**)
- Location and frequency of stingray, jellyfish, and other marine-life activity.

You will start seeing these QR codes at beach safety locations, hotels, rental properties, business, and local restaurants in the near future.
We will continue to do our daily Facebook updates at 10am, but this will give our community real time information as we develop this program. If successful, in the future we can include text message updates that can be sent directly to your phone.
