Pretty cool day on the water. Weather in the Gulf was... sketchy at best. We caught a variety of fish, including Captain Bas' 12 pound Pensacola Bay Snapper. Fun times with the family!

With every boat known to mankind in the water for Blue Angels airshows the next few days, please adhere to the basic rule of Right of Way. This rule applies in Pensacola Bay, Santa Rosa Sound, and the Gulf of Mexico. Contrary to popular belief, neither the biggest boat, fastest boat, nor boat in the channel necessarily has the right of way. If you are piloting the Give-Way vessel, give way early. If you are piloting the Stand-On vessel, Look Out! Basically, if another vessel is between your 12 O'Clock and 4 O'Clock, you must yield to that vessel.

My childhood friend Cal C, his son in law Steve, and grandsons Max and Tucker sure had a good haul today. We dodged storms and a Remora invasion to bring home some fat Red Snappers. The two fatties weighed 20 and 23 pounds. Fun!

My Waxhaw neighbors the Starnes and a couple boyfriends came to visit today. We had a blast and caught some nice fish, including Gracie with her 12.5 pound Mangrove Snapper, which tied the boat record!

The Neilson gang from TX had some fun today. We caught Red Snappers, Lane Snappers, and Mangrove Snappers. Randy K. caught this fat 36.5" Red Snapper that tipped the scales at 27 lbs. A real beast!
