A new facility in Orange Beach will help rehabilitate injured sea turtles.

The facility is expected to be completed in the summer of 2026.

The hope is that the new facility will help save as many sea turtles as possible. Currently, if an injured or dead sea turtle is found, Orange Beach employees have to transport the sea turtle to facilities in either Mississippi or Florida for treatment. When the turtle has recovered, it has to be transported back to Orange Beach.

The NCAA has announced that the NC Beach Volleyball Championship will have a five-year agreement to return to Gulf Shores, Alabama, from 2027 to 2031. 🏝️
