Our teams are ready to assist with your stay at all 21 Alabama State Parks. We welcome you to make camping, cabin, or lodge reservations at the park that best fits your needs.

Milton has absolutely went bonkers. Now a CAT 4 150mph Major Hurricane. Some models showed a CAT 5 now we might actually see that. Weakening is expected. But how much. Should we even say weakening at this point as it nears Florida. Significant impacts regardless. www.spaghettimodels.com

We’ve been watching this for quite some time! Praying those who are in the mandatory evacuation are leaving!

The forecast remains on track for Hurricane Helene which is expected to rapidly strengthen as it moves across the eastern Gulf and towards the Florida Big Bend area. For our local region, dangerously high surf, deadly rip currents & hazardous marine conditions are expected to begin tonight!

The pier is open! Excited to check it out the next time we’re back in town!

Here's the Gulf State Park Pier update you've all been waiting for - and the excitement is high here at the park. Visitors can return to Gulf State Park-Alabama Pier on Monday, August 19! We can't wait to see you then!

The Pier will reopen to sightseers and anglers on Monday, Aug. 19, at 7 a.m., as the renovation work that began in November 2023 has been completed. The Pier will not be open prior to 7 a.m. - so be ready to join us then!

A formal ribbon-cutting and community celebration is being planned for a later date, so stay tuned to this page and Alabama State Parks for more information!

On June 6, 1944, 80 years ago today, thousands of brave men and boys stormed the beaches of Normandy displaying unparalleled courage and determination.

Their sacrifices on D-Day marked a pivotal turn in World War II, paving the way for the liberation of Europe. Today we honor their valor, resilience, and unwavering commitment to fighting for our freedom.

Afterall, their day at the beach made it possible for us to enjoy the beach as a free nation.
