I’m loving the weather here right now! What a great feeling warm sunshine is compared to the colder temps at home up North. This week I have been busy winterizing and maintaining the home. I love how peaceful I feel when I’m down here. Golf is year round here and we are 5 miles away from a top golf course (Kiva Dunes). I suppose you can do a lot of things once…I snapped this pic on the beach last week. Anything can happen at Alabama beaches. 🙂 You can see they had a few small plastic sand shovels as padddles. They did eventually make it back to land but they drifted pretty far out. You never know what you might see during your stay at Eden’s Waters!

In order to protect the wall from the chairs we installed shiplap in the dinning room area. Overall it looks fantastic and will improve the durability for the walls against blemishes.

We are excited to provide our guests brand new outdoor furniture! The third floor and first floor have new matching sets that look fantastic. I’m personally excited for the two person rocker that will catch the best view of the sunset.

The guests this week are enjoying new bedroom furniture in this ocean view king bedroom! It matches another room’s furniture and is much better than what was there beforehand. More improvements still to come. :)

All mattresses are getting new SafeRest mattress protectors to ensure our families are safe sleeping here at Eden’s Waters. Every mattress has been inspected and replaced if needed. More Spring time updates still to come!

Only 2 weeks open in March at Eden's Waters. Come enjoy an amazing spring break in Gulf Shores. Our home is within walking distance to a fantastic resturant and Ice Cream shop. We are declaring war on cold pool water! 🙂

Though our pool is heated (and it is currently set to the max of 104 degrees), the water temp does not stay consistently warm like a hot tub because we don’t have a way to contain the heat and the pool is much larger than a hot tub.

So. Two new tactics.

First, we have ordered a solar cover which will trap the majority of the heat that escapes (through the surface). The cover allows the sun rays to help warm the trapped water at the surface. This should make the biggest difference as the water from below and above will now be heated during the day.

Secondly, we have ordered over 100 feet of thermal wrap to fully cover the sides of the pool below the deck.

We have amazing snow birds for the next month and a half and we look forward to hearing their feedback if our new adjustments make a noticeable difference!
