If it is peaceful relaxation and seclusion that you desire, the Fort Morgan Peninsula is the place to be! Fort Morgan is surrounded by water, with the Mobile Bay on one side and the Gulf of Mexico on the other - the most beautiful natural beaches in the area. Steeped in history, it is a place where nature abounds. You won't see high rise, high density condo buildings; rather, you will feel like you have come to a place that is lost in time. Once you have visited, you will want to come back again and again! The house is light and bright with an open floor plan in the main living area, making it a great space for family and friends to gather. Right off the living and dining area you will find a desk where you can use your laptop and take advantage of the wireless Internet. The living room and master bedroom both have access to the large deck and view of the beautiful Gulf of Mexico. The flooring throughout the house is durable and easy to clean luxury vinyl tile, so no worries about carpet stains. The living room has plenty of seating with a large sectional sofa with chaise, and an additional comfy chair with ottoman. Enjoy watching TV or movies with the Internet capable TV, sound bar and DirecTV full channel lineup. Access your entertainment accounts on Netflix, Amazon Prime, etc., as well as cast your device. Connect to the sound bar via Bluetooth to listen to your favorite tunes. For dining, we offer a large dining table with six chairs, plus two barstools at the kitchen counter. Our kitchen always gets rave reviews from our guests! There are plenty of excellent restaurants in the area; however, if you enjoy preparing your own meals, you won't find anything lacking in our kitchen. If you do, let us know, and we will see if we can add whatever you need! The primary bedroom has a comfortable queen size bed, dresser, two night stands, chair with side table and lamp, TV and walk in closet. The master bath has been updated with a large tiled shower, custom travertine vanity with two sinks, tiled floor and walls, and built-in shelving and storage. The second and third bedroom are separate from the master. One bedroom has two twin beds, and the other has a queen bed and desk. Both rooms have chests and closets for storage. All bedrooms have access to charging devices. The second bath is located just off the hallway, and has been recently updated with a pedestal sink and porcelain tub with shower. Step out of the living room or master bedroom to a spacious 360 square feet deck, which provides an additional living area and dining area. Enjoy an awesome view of the dunes, sugar white sand, and blue-green waters of the Gulf of Mexico! The deck is built with composite deck materials, which means no splinters and no hot wood on your feet! This comfortable outdoor living area includes a dining table with six chairs, two additional chairs, two loungers, and two side tables. This is a great spot to view the awe-inspiring sunrise and sunset, catch some rays, watch the dolphins frolic, or just relax and enjoy the beverage of your choice. You may even be lucky enough to get a free show from the Blue Angels flight demonstration squadron, as they sometimes practice up and down our beach! Want to get out of the sun, but still enjoy outdoor living and dining? There is an additional covered outdoor living and dining area below the house, which includes a wooden picnic table for six people, as well as a porch swing and two Adirondack chairs for additional seating. You will love the enclosed shower downstairs which has hot and cold water, vanity with sink, lighting and electrical outlet (3rd bathroom). You must experience a hot shower where you can feel the ocean breeze and hear the crashing waves! Step from the beach front deck to a boardwalk that leads to a sunny sitting area with a double lounger and Adirondack chairs, and a covered shared gazebo with built-in seating. We have enjoyed many good times gathering with friends from the other three homes in our little neighborhood! From the gazebo step right onto the sugar white sands of the Gulf of Mexico. Our uncrowded and unspoiled beach is natural and one of the widest sections of beach on the entire peninsula. Our beach is not groomed, and you can happily hunt for driftwood, shells, sea glass, and other treasures. You might spot dolphins swimming and frolicking in the surf, brown pelicans flying in formation, or blue herons and sea gulls right on the beach in front of the house. Relax, unwind, listen to the surf, soak up the sun, frolic in the waves, enjoy some shore fishing, watch nature, enjoy awe-inspiring sunrises and sunsets, and star gaze at night. You won't be bored, but if you do want more entertainment, there is plenty to do and see in nearby Foley, Gulf Shores, or Orange Beach, just minutes away.

Thinking about visiting Fort Morgan, Alabama? Here are some fun things to do in Fort Morgan, Alabama for your next vacation.

When I use my flashlight on the beach, am I disturbing sea turtles? Yes. Both nesting moms and hatchling sea turtles can be disoriented and disturbed by flashlights used on the beach. Sea turtles have an innate tendency to move towards the brightest horizon which, on a natural beach, is the brighter ocean reflecting light from the stars and the moon. Flashlights appear brighter to turtles than natural cues disorienting sea turtles. When an adult female sea turtle is looking to come ashore to nest, bright lights can discourage them from coming up on the beach to nest and can disorient her once she is on the beach.

How can I help? Do not use flashlights or cell phone lights while walking on the beach at night. Alternatively, you can use a sea turtle friendly red flashlight. Red, orange, or amber lights are less disorienting for sea turtles. If you are lucky enough to see a sea turtle on the beach, please make sure to turn your lights off and admire from a distance.

The flashlights used along the shore can lead to sea turtle disorientation of hatchlings and nesting females. Imagine if you are a sea turtle coming out of the Gulf to nest in Alabama and all of these flashlights are on the beach-this could be disorienting and distracting.

Turtle time! Please follow these guidelines.

𝗧𝗼𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝗶𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗼𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝘀𝗲𝗮 𝘁𝘂𝗿𝘁𝗹𝗲 𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘀𝗲𝗮𝘀𝗼𝗻 𝗶𝗻 𝗔𝗹𝗮𝗯𝗮𝗺𝗮! 🐢
Three species of sea turtles nest on Alabama's Gulf Coast: Loggerhead, Kemp's Ridley, and Green sea turtles. Our most common nesting sea turtle here in Gulf Shores is the Loggerhead. At night, female Loggerheads will emerge from the Gulf to lay about 120 eggs in their nest and then return to the water. Baby sea turtles grow inside these eggs, and once they are all ready, they hatch and crawl out of their nest together. Just like their mama, Loggerhead turtles prefer nighttime, so they leave their nest, follow the light reflecting off the water from the moon, and crawl towards the Gulf in the dark.

It is important we help protect these sea turtles by doing the following:
🔦 Avoid using flashlights or flash photography on the beach at night. If you do use a light at night, please use red filter lights.
💡 Turn off outside patio lights and shield indoor lights from shining onto the beach at night.
🥚 Do not disturb sea turtle nests.
↔️ Keep your distance (at least 30 feet) from adult turtles that come onto the beach to nest.
🐢 Leave sea turtle tracks undisturbed.
👣 Leave Only Footprints! Do not leave beach gear, holes, or trash on the beach.
☎️ Report sea turtle sightings to 866-732-8878.
