Double red flags mean that WATERS ARE CLOSED to the public due to potentially life-threatening rip currents and dangerous surf. Those who enter the water will be subject to a fine and possible arrest.

💙Gulf State Park’s annual Shark Week 2023 is just TWO DAYS AWAY! 💙

Join us for a week of fun and learn all about the most famous predators of the sea!

When: July 10th - 14th
Time: 10 AM to 2 PM each day
Where: Gulf State Park Pier
Daily wristbands are $3/person (includes Pier sightseeing fee) Parking is $3 per vehicle for 2 hours, $5 for 4 hours, and $10 all day.

Each day we’ll have a sting ray touch tank from Marine Resources, ADCNR, a selfie station, and more!

MSU’s Marine Fisheries Ecology Lab will be covering exciting topics related to sharks and rays! Their team will also conduct a dissection each day!

One of MSU’s topics next week will be about shark research! During each of these sessions, we will introduce you to our scientific “bottom longline” and interesting research methods. We will share fun facts about shark movements and migration, as well as shark age and growth!
