Scoops is a family-owned and operated small business that has been serving visitors of Gulf Shores and Orange Beach since 1980. They have a tradition of generous servings at reasonable prices. They serve quality ice cream, yogurt, fat-free and sugar-free ice cream cakes, and dipped cones. If you’re really craving something sweet, they also have banana splits, hot fudge brownie delights, malts, and milkshakes.

3. Frost Bites
Frost Bites opened in Seaside, FL in 1994 and soon became a staple in the Seaside community. In 2004, Frost Bites, the only Airstream in Seaside, was purchased by their partner Mike Gullett. Mike, a father of four, had a vision of helping families make new memories at the beach as well as reliving old ones. That tradition continues today with photo ops, the friendliest of staff, delicious Hawaiian shave ice, fresh lemonade freezes, old-fashioned root beer floats, and frozen custard. In addition, Frost Bites offers a specialty line of tanks and tees representing the tradition of the company and its community.

In May 2017, the Lynch family opened Frost Bite's second location at The Beach Club in Gulf Shores and, most recently, the location at Perdido Pass in Orange Beach.

5. The Yard Milkshake Bar
The Yard Milkshake Bar was created by the husband-and-wife team Logan and Chelsea Green. They both came from families of entrepreneurs and spent their early years working for their parents, Logan as an electrician and Chelsea at her parent's convenience store. In 2011, Chelsea and her mother started their first ice cream shop, Island Ice Cream, which is still owned by Chelsea today. After years of working with ice cream and desserts, they decided to open a second ice cream shop in 2017.

Chelsea knew she wanted it to be like no other dessert place she had ever been to and decided that crazy specialty milkshakes is just what they were looking for. When brainstorming name ideas one night in their living room "The Yard" was born. They opened in May of 2017 and were blown away by the positive reaction of the community and tourists alike in their hometown of Gulf Shores, AL.
