Here's the Gulf State Park Pier update you've all been waiting for - and the excitement is high here at the park. Visitors can return to Gulf State Park-Alabama Pier on Monday, August 19! We can't wait to see you then!
The Pier will reopen to sightseers and anglers on Monday, Aug. 19, at 7 a.m., as the renovation work that began in November 2023 has been completed. The Pier will not be open prior to 7 a.m. - so be ready to join us then!
A formal ribbon-cutting and community celebration is being planned for a later date, so stay tuned to this page and Alabama State Parks for more information!

Weekly Fishing Permit – $41.00
Monthly Fishing Permit – $81.00
Six Month Fishing Permit – $161.00
Annual Fishing Permit – $321.00
Please note that the pier’s elevated observation deck will remain closed until a new elevator is installed to make it accessible for all guests. Also, anglers must possess a valid fishing license.
