Member Highlight ✨ Eddie Valeros

I was born in Charleston, S.C. on Navy base, and raised in a U.S. Navy family in several states and in the Philippines. I graduated high school at Holy Cross in New Orleans, and I joined the Navy right out of high school. My last active duty station was the U.S.S. Kitty Hawk when it was based out of Coronado Island, California, where it was deployed in the early 90’s to the Persian Gulf in response to Iraqi violations of UN sanctions (Persian Gulf War).

After getting out of the Navy, I married and pursued a college degree in Business Management with a concentration in Marketing from UNO Lakefront Campus. My wife and I have 5 grown children (plus their spouses), 20 grandkids, and two great-granddaughters. I lost my soulmate to COVID on October 15 2020.

I have been in the commercial cleaning industry for over 15 years, and I have a background in construction and construction management. Those experiences combined with my training in shipboard firefighting, and water remediation; and a love and passion for meeting people and developing business makes my job fun for me…and it helps that the company I work for is run in a very compassionate and family-like environment, with an owner and management staff who genuinely cares about both their staff and their clients.

✨ Member Spotlight✨

In this week’s member spotlight, we are proud to shine a light on Bobby Pugh.

We have been asked to say a few words about Bobby Pugh. Describing Bobby in a few words is not possible. But, we will try.

August 24, 1982, a young man came into Redd Pest looking for a job. This young man was Bobby Pugh, at the youthful age of 18. He looked promising, but only time would tell. All companies hope to retain new hires for as long as possible. Employees transitioning in and out does not help the goal to provide quality service for the customer. With Bobby Pugh, we received more than just longevity, we saw the growth of a leader, dedicating his career to Redd. Quality and Integrity are a couple words to describe Bobby Pugh.

In the early days of employment, Bobby helped Redd with Fumigation services at the Ports of Gulfport, Pascagoula and Mobile. Bobby also helped with other general services. Watching Bobby's work ethic, we realized he would be great on a service route. He excelled as a service technician, serving such accounts as Chevron Refinery, Mississippi Phosphates, Port of Pascagoula and many other key industrial and commercial accounts. Along with larger accounts, he served hundreds of residential accounts who loved having Bobby as their technician. For well over 10 years, Bobby led all other technicians by accomplishing goals other employees thought impossible. As Redd's Pascagoula/Jackson County service technician, Bobby received so many company awards that we ran out of space around his office workstation to put them on the wall.

In Bobby's more recent years at Redd, he has served in the role of Business Development. This position is vital in the growth and strength of Redd Pest. Bobby has done so well in new development of customers, that we have had to create new awards to keep up with Bobby's pace. He was the leader in Redd's most prestigious award, The Eagle Award. For years, this was Redd's highest achievement in sales. We were forced to keep raising the bar. We developed the Triple Eagle Award. Bobby met that goal. We created the Golden Eagle Award, Bobby met that goal. In 2020, Redd created the Platinum Eagle Award. In the years of 2020, 2021, 2022 and 2023, Bobby Pugh has received those awards. We are not sure what to do next to reward the level of performance of Bobby Pugh. Our walls are getting heavy with plaques.

Bobby Pugh is a stable and effective force in Redd's operation. Every day, he is the first to arrive and one of the last to leave the office. That 18 year old in 1982, who looked promising, became much more than that. Bobby has been a leader, accomplishing many things others can only imagine.

Heather Brierton, Arbonne Independent Consultant, IIN CHC

Heather was raised in Columbus KS and began her career in the health industry while she was in high school. Her passion to change the misconceptions of “healthy choices” started while she was still in high school and took a job one summer in the dietary department at a small hospital in her community.

She and her husband, Tim moved their family’s ICF residential construction company to the coast in 2006 following Hurricane Katrina. The move was initially planned to be a two year leave of absence from their Midwest family but they quickly grew to love the coast and chose to raise their family here. She and her husband have four amazing children. Two daughters, EllaGrace (2) and Brooklyn (18) and twin sons, Blaize and Blayne (21).

The move opened the doors for Heather to focus on her passion for health and wellness while working full time in Corporate Wellness. In 2010 she resigned from her regional corporate wellness position and began a full time mission with Arbonne. Her goal has always been to help people make 1° changes in their lifestyle to increase their overall wellness and boost disease prevention. Arbonne fits this mission by offering clean, conscious skin care and nutrition options for the whole family. In 2014 she completed a one year program with the Institute for Integrative Nutrition in New York and obtained her certification in health coaching.

When Heather was asked, Why Arbonne? Her reply was, “With every product that I implemented into mine and my family’s daily routine, back in 2005, I grew to know that I would be a lifer with Arbonne. Helping others with their wellness is my passion”.

She joined CCN in 2010 to expand her network and quickly connected with other like minded individuals within the organization. She enjoys meeting with others about what they currently use in their everyday routines and what their health goals are which can lead to assisting them with saving money while choosing cleaner choices and working to achieve their wellness goals. Being a member of CCN has allowed her to expand her network by receiving referrals from other members in the group. The relationships she has built with the members of the group will last a lifetime. Heather has served CCN as President, Vice President and Secretary during her tenure.

MEMBER SPOTLIGHT ✨

God gave us all unique gifts, It is our mission to find out what those gifts are and try to find the career where those gifts can be utilized. If we do that successfully, our careers won’t feel like a job, but a calling. Michael’s gifts are that he is a problem solver, has a strong work ethic and a genuine desire to help people. When you are young, it is so hard to know what career fits you. A lot of the time, we pick a career because of the potential income instead of trying to figure out if our gifts are best suited for that career. If our gifts are matched with the most appropriate career, the money will take care of itself.

Michael’s career took him on a journey through the stock market, collections, retail lender, bank branch manager and finally to mortgage lending. Michael transitioned to mortgage lending in 2003. His career in mortgage lending has been the most rewarding career for him as he can honestly say it fits his gifts perfectly. Michael has navigated through many different markets since 2003 and helped a countless number of people achieve the dream of homeownership.

The most rewarding closings for him have been for the clients that needed the most help.
Michael joined his current group of mortgage professionals in 2015 with a company called Supreme Lending. His group transitioned to SWBC Mortgage in November 2022. Michael has a great thirst for learning new ideas and processes. We grow as people when we learn. Michael has learned a lot along the way from his manager and his co-workers. Michael was paired in 2016 with the most amazing assistant, Lee Pearson. Her gifts are his weaknesses and vice versa. Her addition to his team has made the biggest impact to me being able to utilize his gifts to the fullest. Michael is always trying to grow in his role as a mortgage originator and trying to improve the experience he provides to his referral partners and clients. Michael is very blessed to be surrounded by like-minded people in our company.

One interesting thing about Michael is his love of sports. He listens to sports talk every morning and mainly read facebook feed to stay up to date on the sports world. He loves watching football with his dad on the weekends and going to LSU football games with his daughter.

Michael has been a member of Coast Commerce referral group for 9 years. He gets to meet every Thursday morning at 8:30 at Newks with an amazing group of people. This group has been a big part of his career success and he strongly recommends this group to anyone who depends on referrals to earn a living.
