John Jodrie’s Lengendary Hunting Retreat
Gypsum Creek Outfitters, offers an exclusive one-on-one guided hunting in the Gypsum Creek Drainage. We hunt National Forest Service land in the White River National Forest. A well known area to the Boone & Crockett record books. The area we hunt has limited access, so you will rarely see other hunters, if any! We offer multiple hunting options for Trophy Mule Deer, Elk and Black Bear. We have changed our format to one-on-one hunts, so we can tailor the hunt to accommodate your experience and physical condition, as well as give you more opportunities at real trophy animals.
We offer some of the best hunting in the state of Colorado. Eagle County is famous for the Trophy Mule Deer Bucks, with many in the record books. We hunt resident herds of elk, so there is no waiting around on a migration. The Bear population has been rapidly growing in this area with ever color change. Lodging consists of a small cabin with beds and stove. Outfitter tents with cots and cooking equipment. Showers and recreation room are in the main ranch house. Meals are all home cooked old receipts, that will make any mouth water. We have a passion for what we do and who we help, making this the Ultimate Hunting Experience.
The elevation varies from seven to eleven thousand feet and the temperatures can range from below zero to eighty degrees. You will be provided with a recommended gear list. Hunt dates are subject to change by the Colorado Division of Wildlife from year to year. The G.M.Unit 44 is a draw area for deer, cow elk and certain Rifle seasons. YOU MUST APPLY IN THE COLORADO DRAW EARLY TO OBTAIN CERTAIN TAGS. Bull elk licenses may be purchased over the counter (OTC) for archery, second & third rifle seasons. Please contact us with any questions or concerns. Tags and licenses can be confusing, so we love to help out and make you hunting trip as less stressful as possible.
