Who is eligible for the complimentary Travel Insurance with COVID-19 Cover?
All revenue Philippine Airlines passengers with flights originating outside the Philippines / traveling to the Philippines, with travel date from 23 May 2022 to 23 Nov 2022 will receive a complimentary travel insurance with COVID-19 Cover provided for by PAL, underwritten by Insurance Company of North America (a Chubb Company).
PAL Tickets should begin at 079 and can be purchased through Philippine Airlines' various selling platforms, including but not limited to PAL's website, ticket offices, and travel agencies.
On the effective date of coverage, the passenger/s must be at least 2 weeks old but not older than 75 years old.
Will I be receiving a separate email for my complimentary travel insurance policy?
You may simply access the copy of the Group Policy. There will be no additional email to be sent to the passenger for the complimentary Travel Insurance with COVID-19 cover.
Do I need to print a copy of the insurance policy?
It is highly recommended to print out all necessary documents required prior to travel including the complimentary Travel Insurance policy as these may be asked to be presented at the check-in counter and at the BOQ documents verification area upon arrival in the Philippines.
You may simply access and print the copy of the Group Policy.
How can I enroll to the complimentary Travel Insurance with COVID-19 Cover?
All eligible Philippine Airlines international passengers traveling to the Philippines will be automatically covered by the complimentary Travel Insurance with COVID-19 cover, provided for by PAL and underwritten by Insurance Company of North America (a Chubb Company). What is the coverage and where can I get a copy of my coverage?
The coverage includes medical expenses incurred as a result of COVID-19 up to USD 35,000; medical evacuation due to COVID-19 up to USD 35,000; and Personal Accident Benefit up to USD 2,000; as well as 24-hour emergency travel and medical assistance. Is there an option to pay an additional premium to upgrade the coverage?
No, this complimentary Travel Insurance with COVID-19 cover does not allow you to upgrade your coverage.
Is it necessary for me to have a full medical exam to be covered by the complimentary travel insurance with COVID-19 cover?

Can I convert the complimentary travel insurance with COVID-19 Cover to monetary value if I have already purchased the required travel insurance?
No, the complimentary Travel Insurance with COVID-19 cover that PAL provides has no monetary value. All eligible Philippine Airlines international passengers traveling to the Philippines will be automatically covered by the complimentary Travel Insurance with COVID-19 cover.
Is the pre-departure COVID- 19 test included in the complimentary coverage?
No, any pre-departure COVID-19 testing costs are not covered. The coverage will be effective upon arrival in the Philippines and will only be valid if COVID-19 is diagnosed by a physician. Quarantine due to early symptom/secondary contact is not covered.

If my ticket includes another airline besides PAL, am I still covered?
Yes, provided your ticket is starting with 079 and flight will originate outside the Philippines.
Will I still be covered if I change my flight date? If my original flight was cancelled?
Yes, provided that your new flight will commence within the period from 23 May 2022 to 23 Nov 2022.
I will be staying in the PH for 2 months, will the insurance cover the whole duration of my stay?
No, for round trip tickets, the complimentary Travel Insurance with COVID19 cover will begin upon arrival in the Philippines; and will end upon the departure of the Insured from the Philippines, or after thirty (30) consecutive days from arrival of the Insured in the Philippines, whichever is sooner.
