Road Opening May 2019

Since the flood on April 14th/15th, 2018 the road has been closed to the area. Only residents and permitted workers have been allowed into the community via convoy on a limited schedule. The road is almost ready for visitors so Ka Wai Aloha has opened the booking calendar as of June 2, 2019. Go to bookings.kauaipalms.com for availability calendar.

If you are one of the lucky few to secure a vacation home in Haena this summer please keep in mind the community has been through a lot this past year. We have been challenged daily by the limited convoy schedule but also have enjoyed quiet, peaceful neighborhoods with very little through traffic. Young children have been allowed to ride bikes freely for miles, horses roam freely, the beaches, reefs, and wildlife have sprung back to life!

Please tread lightly on our roads, be compassionate to the residents, use reef-safe sunscreen, do not walk on reefs, and do not buy styrofoam boogie boards or coolers. Ka Wai Aloha provides most of the beach gear you will need for your vacation.

What’s new: Ke’e Beach Park has new rules and you must register online and pay a fee for day parking. Space is limited to 75 cars, so please plan in advance. New parking enforcement will be effective with a $200 fine for parking in a no parking zone. We encourage you to bike around, please inquire about bike rentals.
