Haines' resident trumpet swans🦢

This year the mated swans had 4 cygnets, or baby swans! The swans breed in Alaskan wetland areas near rivers, lakes, ponds, and marshes. This herd lives in a small pond near the Chilkat River.

Aerial view of the Davidson Glacier feeding into the Chilkat Inlet🏔️

As the glacier recedes, it begins to form a delta that meets the saltwater. This can be seen in the contrast between the small water flows and the large sand bars.

This delta system is similar to the Tsirku Delta that pushes into the Chilkat River which our Raft Tours float down!

We are grateful to our partners that connect us with our clientele enabling us to share the beauty that surrounds us in the pristine Upper Lynn Canal communities.
