It’s a humbling experience to ask for help.. especially when people are suffering in so many terrible ways.. I am asking for help to build a young sport and to get to the 1st World Championship of Sea Kayak Fishing

I want the whole world to know how grateful I am to Allen Sansano, Annie Nagel, and Robert Field for being the executive committee for USA Saltwater Kayak Fishing.. this is a huge mission we are trying to accomplish.. and there is absolutely no way I could do this on my own or nor would I want to.. together we are working hard to build the path forward for USA anglers.. and we couldn’t have done this without the support of USAngling and there dedicated staff.. they say it takes a village.. and I am here to say it does.. without these folks, the sport would not be headed in this direction.. thank you Tony Forte and Michael Brand for giving us this platform to grow our passion.. together we succeed.. mahalo

Aloha we have fresh banana, avocado, honey and citrus. $2 a pound gold medal special for all friuts. $20 a pound for dark pollen filled honey. Please Help me raise money to compete in the very 1st World Championship of Sea Kayak Fishing in Valencia Spain. Money raised will go to travel expenses. The farm is located at the end of the Kawailoa dump road in Haleiwa. We can meet you there, and will deliver for free in the Haleiwa area on orders over $30.. 20 years ago I said saltwater kayak fishing would be in the Olympics some day. people thought I was crazy. I can tell you that we are not far away now. Thank you USAngling for the work your doing to get global recognition and Olympic admission for USA Kayak Fishing Saltwater there still is a lot more work to do. I finally got a chance to get out kayak fishing last Saturday.. the weather guy lied.. lol.. winds were supposed to be light but was 20mph plus.. good thing I have a Hobie AI sailing kayak.. bait was hard to find, and hard to catch.. bait wasn’t biting good and it was pretty rough and hard to keep the sabiki rig up and down.. I managed 3 baits.. I trolled them back and forth on the ledge and lost 2 baits to sharks.. later towards the major bite I took a massive Ono (wahoo) strike that stripped out 200 yards on my Daiwa LD 60 like it was nothing.. then it came back at me like an ono does.. then did another blistering 100 yard run before coming undone.. uhhhgg that’s fishing!! Mid day and out of bait I went inshore and out of the rough seas.. inshore was smoother water and windy, but made for great sailing and lure trolling speeds… I ran a Yozuri floating deep diver and a silver clear hookup baits to my final destination… it was near the end of my run when I got 2 buzzer beaters.. the small African Pompano on a hookup baits which I would have let go but it was badly hooked in the eye.. and a bigger stronger blue fin trevally on the Yozuri deep diver which put up a good fight… the small kagami made an excellent pan fry.. I pan fried the belly and cheeks of the blue fin.. and the rest I am making into blue fin trevally sashimi Baja style. Blessed to put some dinner on the table.. aloha

Last Sunday I had the privilege to hang out with the Oahu Pelagic Pirates at there latest Saltwater Kayak Fishing Tournament. These guys have been setting a positive vibe and have been growing the sport on the island of Oahu. I was able to share some Yak Attack gear for the raffle and some info about the USA Kayak Fishing Saltwater regional qualifier series coming up soon in Maui. Through this Maui regional qualifier in October, the top 10 kayak anglers will be selected to the National Championship. The top anglers of our National Championship will be selected to the USA National Team and compete at the Pan American and World championships for Team USA. Here’s are few pics of the event last Sunday. A few nice fish were caught including a small marlin for the win. Good work Max and crew. Congrats to all the anglers..

I am almost home to Honolulu.. what an incredible journey Costa Rica has been.. Congratulations to team USA Kayak Fishing Saltwater on taking Gold at the very first ever Pan American Championships of Saltwater Kayak Fishing… and equally important; Thank You and Congratulations to all the teams and athletes.. Everyone who was there is a winner.. this tournament was an incredible challenge battle.. and every team and athlete gave it there all on and off the field.. I was so impressed and humbled by the talent and camaraderie of all these incredible athletes… we share a passion and love for the sport of Saltwater Fishing Kayak Fishing that is unwavering.. Together we made this event one for the history books that won’t be forgotten… I am so excited for the future of the sport and can’t wait to see all the anglers in October for the 1st World Championship of Sea Kayak Fishing and the Second Pan American Championships of Saltwater Kayak Fishing to be held February 2025 in La Paz Mexico.. together we achieve!!
