Walt Disney World will kick off its 18-month long 50th Anniversary celebration with a ton of new and updated experiences...and here are just a few.

All of the park icons will be getting some love as they transform into “Beacons of Light.”
Cinderella Castle will receive gold bunting and an anniversary crest as well as a touch of pixie dust. The Tree of Life will become home to a swarm of magical fireflies. Epcot’s Spaceship Earth will glisten like never before and we can’t forget about the Hollywood Tower Hotel which is always looming at the end of Sunset Blvd. which will also have some special touches added! More to be announced....

It’s shaping up to be a great celebration!

Happy New Year! What better way to kick off the new year than by looking towards the new additions across the Disney properties. The Animal Kingdom will be the main focal point in 2017 at Walt Disney World with the opening of Pandora - The World of Avatar Land. Walk among the bioluminiscent plants, ride the Flight of Passage which puts you on the back of a banshee, and cruise down the Nav'i River Journey. Also opening in 2017 is the Rivers of Light nighttime spectacular. "The Edison" restaurant opens up at Disney Springs in 2017 which will offer nightly live entertainment. Over at Typhoon Lagoon, take the family down "Miss Fortune Falls," a new family raft ride. Disneyland Resort's "Disney's California Adventure" theme park has the Guardians of the Galaxy: Mission Breakout attraction opening up which is ready to thrill guests. Disney Cruise Line also has some new ports coming in 2017. Among the new ports are the Alaskan Icy Strait Point, Amsterdam, Stonehenge, and the Southern Caribbean.
