Long time tradition and fun memories 🎄

For every Christmas tree that is found, cut, and carried home as a holiday fixture, a new story is created, furthering our connections with local forests.

Recreation.gov, in collaboration with Every Kid Outdoors, is ready to help you with not only cutting down the tree but decorating it as well!

Head over to Recreation.gov and purchase your Christmas Tree Permit to cut down your tree at your local forest and then download our 2022 Christmas Tree Permit Ornament to color and hang on your tree to commemorate the experience:

Thank you Stock Farm Club 🎄

The staff at the Stock Farm Club crafted and made upgrades to our town tree ornaments and decorations!! They made 75 new giant ornaments and have you ever seen giant popcorn garland?! You’re gonna want to see this!!! Thank you all! You are such a wonderful part of our community!!

The story and people behind the ✨magic✨

🎄we found these banners buried in storage this year. They were the wrong size for our poles. In one weekend our super star volunteer, Susan Wetzsteon hemmed them, City Staff brought down tools, Trapper Creek Job Corps hung them. And we think they are just the perfect touch to our classic Christmas.

❄️Every year our volunteer Hamilton - MT Fire Department hangs our snowflakes in every kind of weather. This year our welding class fixed some our snowflakes.

❄️Local business owners make chili for the fire department, a preschool class made cornbread, volunteers deliver, and the Office Bar opens their doors for chili feed.

✨So much love and time go into our decorations and we think that’s what makes it all so wonderful ✨
