Thank you to everyone that came out to tryouts today! This was the largest turnout in our our 10 years of Hammond Yankees baseball!! We had over 200 kids from age 7-13!!

Update on baby Kennedi Salim:...

Chest was closed up this morning (Sunday)!! Doctors are saying she is doing as good as can be expected!

Update: from Lyndi and Tony
First of all we just want to thank everyone from the bottom of our hearts. We have an awesome GOD and the prayers and supports have been truly amazing!!! We couldn’t have got through this time with out each and everyone of your prayers, texts, phone calls, and kind gestures. Kennedi is resting peacefully after surgery. She is a fighter. There is a breathing tube in and her chest is still open but she did amazing during surgery. Please continue your prayers she will have to be in the hospital for at least 4-5 more weeks for recovery but with Prayer we can do anything!!

Baby Kennedi Salim update (Wednesday):

Surgery today was postponed for Kennedi till Friday morning at 7:30. Surgeon was called in for emergency surgery. Please keep the prayers going!

Update on baby Kennedi Salim....
Kennedi will be having open heart surgery on Wednesday at 6:30 A.M. Please continue the prayers!!!

Update on Kennedi Salim:

Thank everyone again for all the prayers. Doctors are saying open heart surgery Monday. They will need to separate the valves going to the heart. There’s also a hole in her heart that needs to be repaired. Doctors are extremely concerned with bleeding from the valve. If it worsens they will not be able to do the surgery and she may require a transplant which will be very hard to get for her age. They are saying surgery is extremely dangerous but our best option.

We appreciate all the calls regarding Coach Tony & Lyndi’s new baby (Kennedi).
Here’s a quick update. The baby was born Tues evening and development complications Tues night. She was sent to Oschner in New Orleans. Waiting for test results to determine if surgery is needed. Please keep baby Kennedi & the family in your prayers!!
