If you are a beginner kayaker with or without the essential gear or you are interested in trying out the activity, then this is for you.
Come out with us to enjoy a leisurely paddle on Brushy Lake in the beautiful
Bankhead National Forest.
Learn the basics in recreational flatwater kayaking in a group setting with John Wesley McCrary, certified mountain guide.
With an extensive background in guiding groups on adventurous outings from rock climbing, caving, bouldering, hiking, camping, backpacking, biking and paddling.
We will guide you through the techniques and offer tips to help you gain the confidence to become a self-sufficient paddler.

What you will need to bring:
Closed backpack
Packable snack foods and Water (a water filtering bottle is a good investment)
Water shoes/closed toe sandals
Sun hat
Sunscreen
Bug spray
Change of clothes (plan on getting wet)
