Another amazing day in Ireland as we draw close to the end of our time here. We explored the stunning Burren. The unique limestone landscape was like stepping into another world. The mix of flora and ancient stone formations was breathtaking. Attended a fantastic sheep dog demonstration at Caherconnell —watching those skilled dogs expertly herd the sheep was pretty astonishing. Their teamwork with the handlers was incredible to witness. Visited the lively Galway City which had a ton of shops, museums and activities. Ate at the famous Kings Head Tavern and enjoyed some pints with locals at Tig Choili before returning to Limerick for the night.

Departed Killarney this morning for our next destination, Limerick. 6 days in and we finally had the misty/damp weather we had been anticipating all along. The drive through the Irish countryside was filled with spectacular views. Saw the busy town of Ennistymon with the colorful shopfronts. Crossed over the River Shannon on a ferry to shorten the journey. Saw a good number of surfers suited up in wetsuits, taking advantage of the winds & high waves. Took in the majestic Cliffs of Moher! Nothing can prepare you for the sheer beauty of the cliffs. Standing on the edge, with the Atlantic waves crashing below, you really get a feel for their enormity. We discussed the many movies that used this area as part of their scenes. The sun came out once again this evening and created a rainbow over the town of Limerick. Ended the night at South’s Pub watching Netherlands vs. France & having a few pints with the locals. Frank McCourt, author of Angela’s Ashes used to frequent this pub.

This sublime family-run grocery store is packed with a succulent selection of fine Italian products, unique cheeses and other authentic delights. For any gourmet worthy of the name, a stop at such a place is a must to stock up on the true flavors of Italy!

Just had an incredible day exploring the Ring of Kerry! From the breathtaking coastal views to the charming little villages, every turn on this route was a new adventure. We started early, winding through lush green landscapes and dramatic cliffs, with the ocean sparkling under the Irish sun. Highlights included a stop at the The Red Fox for an Irish coffee, a short drive through a portion of Killarney National Park & lunch at the Scarriff Inn. The quaint towns of Kenmare & Sneem welcomed us with their colorful houses and warm hospitality. We even managed to squeeze in a quick stop to walk the beach and touch the chilly waters of the Atlantic in Waterville.
If you ever get the chance to visit, don’t miss out on this stunning drive. It’s a magical mix of natural beauty and rich culture that you have to experience to believe. Ended the evening with a great meal with friends amongst the locals in Killarney.

Ireland Fun Fact: June 21 is Ireland’s summer solstice. In the weeks leading up to and following this date, they experience very long daylight hours. It does not get dark here until 11:15pm and it gets light again at about 3:30am!

Another amazing day in Ireland with beautiful sunny weather. 🇮🇪 Had the chance to visit Blarney and kiss the famous Blarney Stone at the top of the Blarney Castle.
Then, it was off to the stunning town of Killarney. We did the “Jaunting Cars” experience which is a horse and buggy ride through the Killarney National Park. Our coachman, Patrick was fantastic. He entertained us with his vast knowledge of nature and stories. The scenery was absolutely breathtaking, with its lush landscapes and serene lakes. We then took a short boat ride out to a small island where we explored and viewed ancient ruins. Finished off the evening with a delightful dinner at Treyvaud’s and several pints at a local
pub listineing to live music.Feeling so grateful for these magical moments! 🌍💚

Ended our day with a visit to Waterford, Ireland’s oldest city. Visited the Medieval Museum, stepping back in time to the 13th century with its ancient artifacts, seeing the Great Charter Roll, the gold cloth vestments and the underground Choristers’ Hall. The highlight here was visiting with locals in Thomas Maher’s Pub which opened in 1886! Also learned a new way to order… “I’ll take one off the shelf” which means, you’ll take a room temp bottle of Guinness with a 1/2 pint glass.

Kilkenny, Ireland: Had a nice morning and early afternoon taking in Kilkenny’s rich history & charm. Took a nice city tour on a small train to get our bearings. Paul, our driver was quite a character and shared quite a few jokes & stories. The Black Abbey was a highlight with its stunning stained glass windows and peaceful atmosphere. We also visited St. Mary’s Cathedral—its towering spires and beautiful architecture. Had a great lunch outside in the sun at a local cafe. Kilkenny's rich history and charm make it a must-visit.

This charming little family of Roxellan rhinopithecines poses so as not to be forgotten... Recognizable by its golden hair, snub nose and blue face, this species of monkey, native to the mountain forests of central and south-western China, is sadly on the brink of extinction. The behavior of these little creatures in their natural habitat is as fascinating as their appearance, making this an unforgettable observation experience. Primates

Day 1: Dublin, the magical capital of Ireland! After a great night’s rest at Riu Plaza The Gresham, we
explored this vibrant city. Trinity College, Temple Bar, Guinness Storehouse, St. Patrick’s Cathedral, St. Stephen’s Green, Christ Church Cathedral the majestic Dublin Castle and Garda Memorial Garden where they memorialize every police officer killed in the line of duty. We visited too many pubs to name them all but Temple Bar and The Long Hall were two of our favorites. Temple Bar for its festive environment and live music and The Long Hall for it’s old world charm dating back to 1766. Friendly locals, rich culture, and unforgettable memories!. Dublin is calling! ✈️🌍
