The season might be over, but we're not done with our employee spotlight series yet!

This week's employee spotlight is on Anthony Robert St. Pierre from our kitchen team!

As our Chef Assistant, Anthony is in his first season at Red Horse Mountain Ranch and is already making each meal memorable with his dedication to high-quality, delicious food. He loves being part of a team that works together to create exceptional dining experiences for our guests.

Anthony enjoys the variety of activities that nature offers here at the ranch and the supportive atmosphere created by a team that genuinely cares about ensuring guests have a fantastic time. A highlight for him this season was riding a horse for the first time since he was two years old and having the opportunity to work under talented culinary mentors.

When he’s not in the kitchen, you might find Anthony taking in the scenery on a scenic ride or heading over to Jamshack. He came to Red Horse Mountain Ranch to explore a new part of the country, expand his kitchen skills, and discover more about his future goals. He’s happy to say he’s accomplished all three!

A fun fact about Anthony: before joining us, he spent two seasons working on sailing schooners in coastal Maine. He ended up at the ranch on a whim after looking for areas with minimal light pollution to enjoy the night skies. We’re lucky to have Anthony on our team this season. Thank you for all your hard work, Anthony!

Today's spotlight today features Emma! She's in her first season here at Red Horse Mountain Ranch, working in Hospitality. Originally from New Zealand, Emma says she "Feels like I'm around family 24/7, even though I'm halfway across the world!"

Emma is passionate about connecting with guests on a personal level, learning their stories, and making their time at the ranch memorable. Whether she's soaking in the incredible views or helping guests experience the adrenaline rush of horseback riding, Emma loves making memories that will last a lifetime. When she's not working, you'll find her horse riding—her favorite activity on the ranch.

Recently, Emma achieved a major goal: learning how to rope! She even got to teach her family when they visited, though her younger brother now ropes better than she does.

When Emma isn’t at the ranch, she’s adventuring across Europe and documenting her travels on her blog, Emma’s Odyssey: www.emmasodyssey.com.

We’re so lucky to have you, Emma—thanks for bringing your energy and enthusiasm to the team!

For this week's employee spotlight, we're thrilled to feature Jessie, one of our talented Wranglers, in her first year at Red Horse Mountain Ranch!

Jessie’s favorite part of her role? Helping guests unwind and enjoy the slower pace of ranch life. She especially loves the look of awe on their faces when they reach breathtaking views during trail rides.

When she's not guiding guests through advanced rides or perfecting her aim on the archery course, Jessie is all about improving her public speaking and embracing the natural world.

A fun fact about Jessie: She’s tried to build a hang glider multiple times—and she’s not giving up anytime soon!

Thanks for all your hard work, Jessie!

Our employee spotlight is on Donovan, one of our talented kitchen team members!

This is Donovan’s fifth season at Red Horse Mountain Ranch, and she brings her passion for baking and love of the outdoors to her role. Whether she’s creating delicious treats or enjoying activities like horseback riding, kayaking, or archery, Donovan finds the perfect balance between her work and the ranch’s adventurous spirit.

When asked what guests can expect, Donovan's advice is simple: "Don't be afraid to try new things!" She’s all about encouraging guests to embrace new experiences.

A memorable moment for her this season? Dancing with friends at Jamshack—a fun reminder of the lively community atmosphere at Red Horse.

When asked about her goals, Donovan keeps it mysterious: “I’m far too complex to be summed up in one sentence…”

A fun fact about Donovan: As a teenager, she spent three months living on a volcanic island in Nicaragua! We’re lucky to have Donovan on the team, bringing her unique perspective and talents to the ranch. Thanks for all you do, Donovan!

This week's employee spotlight is on Sydni from our hospitality team!

This is Sydni’s first season at Red Horse Mountain Ranch, and she’s already making an impact with her warm personality and thoughtful touches. Sydni loves connecting with people from all walks of life and enjoys brightening someone’s day by making bouquets for the lodge, greeting guests by name, or fulfilling special requests with the kitchen.

For those visiting, Sydni says to expect “peace and joy at the simple wild beauty of it all,” along with great people, horses, and food. A standout moment for her this season was the lunch ride—a beautiful way to connect with nature and the community here.

When she’s not working, you can find Sydni enjoying the views from the Haven porch or the lodge back deck with a cup of tea. She came to Red Horse to learn, experience everything, and make lasting friendships.

A fun fact about Sydni: this winter, she’ll be a dog sledding guide in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula! We’re thrilled to have her on the team this season. Thank you for all you do, Sydni!

Our employee spotlight is focusing on one of our newest wranglers, Connor!

This is Connor's first season at Red Horse, and he's already making his mark with his enthusiasm and love for the ranch life.

When asked what he enjoys most about working here, Connor didn’t hesitate: "The people are incredible to work with, and everyone can feel like they have a place here." It’s that sense of belonging that makes Red Horse so special for him.

For anyone thinking about joining the team, Connor's advice is clear: "Come ready to learn, be adaptable, and work hard and play hard."

Connor’s favorite memories so far include after-work rides and photo shoots, as well as swimming down at the docks with friends. These moments of camaraderie and fun are what make his time here truly unforgettable.

When it comes to riding, Connor has a favorite horse—Jules. There’s a special bond between them that makes every ride a memorable experience.

A couple of fun facts about Connor: He’s recently become an uncle, a role he’s incredibly proud of! And here’s something you might not expect—back in high school, Connor was the president of the miniature horse fan club. His love for horses clearly runs deep!

We’re thrilled to have Connor with us this season—his positive energy and willingness to jump right in make him a fantastic addition to the Red Horse Mountain Ranch family. Thank you for all you do, Connor!

This Labor Day weekend, we bring you a special two-for-one employee spotlight with Matt and Viv!

It's Matt and Viv's sixth season working in the Wrangler's department at Red Horse Mountain Ranch, and their journey here has been nothing short of extraordinary. Their love for horseback riding and the deep connection they share with the horses are what keep them coming back year after year. Yet, as they say, it's the countless small joys and the unique, serene beauty of the valley that truly make Red Horse special.

For anyone considering a job at Red Horse, their advice is heartfelt: "Most people come here thinking it will be a cool experience—and it absolutely is. But it can be so much more. It's about community, peace, and a simple yet fulfilling way of life. Don’t try to change it, just embrace it."

When it comes to memories, there are simply too many to count. Every moment at Red Horse is a treasure to them. And if you’re curious about their favorite horse, well, that’s a secret they aren’t ready to share!

Their life philosophy is perfectly summed up by a quote from Mark Twain: "Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn’t do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover."

A fun fact about this dynamic duo? They’ve been fulfilling a dream of homesteading, building their own cabin, and living in a canvas outfitter tent for the past six years. This unique life experience has taught them resilience and the true essence of living fully.

We’re incredibly fortunate to have Matt and Viv with us—they bring a wealth of knowledge, passion, and positive energy to the team, making Red Horse Mountain Ranch a more vibrant and connected community. Thanks to both of you for being such wonderful people!

Employee Spotlight: Meet Carly!

It’s Carly’s first season in hospitality at Red Horse Mountain Ranch, and it’s been an incredible journey so far! She’s formed some truly special friendships and feels so grateful to have met such wonderful people.

For anyone considering a job at Red Horse, Carly’s advice is simple: “Be open to everything! Friendships, new skills, trying new things, and facing your fears—embrace it all.”

One of her standout memories so far is sitting on the porch at the Haven, listening to everyone’s stories and learning what brought them to the ranch. These moments of connection make the experience unforgettable.

Carly lives by the motto “No rest for the tired, no mercy for the timid!” She’s all about working hard and facing challenges head-on. Life can be tough, but Carly believes in pushing through and staying strong.

A couple of fun facts: She worked at a candle factory for 8 years, and even after traveling all the way from Florida, she’s never seen snow!

We’re thrilled to have Carly with us this season—her positive energy is a fantastic addition to the team!

It’s Emma’s turn in the Employee Spotlight!

This is her first season as a wrangler at Red Horse Mountain Ranch, and she’s absolutely loving it. When asked what she enjoys most about Red Horse, Emma shared, "I love the environment here. All of the staff are kind, and I get to do my dream job every day. No day is exactly alike, and it’s been an incredible experience—one I will never forget. Red Horse is a very special place."

For anyone thinking about joining the team, Emma has some great advice: "Working here is fun, but it’s hard work. You need to be flexible and driven to thrive. Expect to be challenged and grow during your time here."

Her favorite memory so far? Seeing the northern lights for the first time—an unforgettable moment. And when it comes to horses, Radar and Dave are her faves!

Emma lives by the quote, "Kindness can become its own motive. We are made kind by being kind." – Eric Hoffer. She believes kindness and love are powerful forces, and she strives to be kind to everyone. It’s all about spreading joy and seeing others find happiness.

Time for another employee spotlight, with the amazing Aurian!

Aurian is in the hospitality department and is experiencing her first season at Red Horse Mountain Ranch. When asked what she likes most about working here, Aurian mentioned, "The people, the opportunities, the location, and what the ranch stands for."

For anyone looking to join the team, Aurian has some solid advice: "Be ready to make and meet goals and to try new things." Her favorite memory so far has been watching the sunset over the mountains during her first jeep tour—an experience that truly captures the beauty of the ranch.

As for horses, Aurian’s favorite is Painted Feather, a horse that’s captured her heart.

When asked to choose a movie or quote that sums her up, Aurian chose a quote by John Wayne: "Courage is being scared to death but saddling up anyway." Since coming to Red Horse, Aurian has found herself stepping up and overcoming many fears, embodying the spirit of adventure and courage.

We’re so glad to have her on our team this season! Thanks for bringing your enthusiasm and courage to the ranch, Aurian!
