Our Story

FANTASIA'S HISTORY In 2010, Restaurateur and promoter Frank Maratta, who created the popular drive-through light display in 1999, donated all of the light displays and equipment to the Channel 3 Kids Camp, a nonprofit year-round camp that annually serves more than 3,000 children from every county in Connecticut. Holiday Light Fantasia is owned and managed by the Channel 3 Kids Camp and proceeds from the admission fees bring important funds to help the camp bring children to camp as well as maintain and improve the camp facility which is located in Andover and Coventry CT on 150 wooded acres alongside the Skungamaug River.Channel 3 Kids Camp believes that ALL children deserve a camp experience. Its mission is to provide fun year-round opportunities to children of all abilities, families, and communities through recreational and educational programs that promote diversity, acceptance, and environmental appreciation. The nonprofit organization offers traditional overnight and day camp summer programs, respite weekends, school vacation day camps, a teen leadership program, a year-round childcare center and weekend group rentals.
