FYI-The FarmHouse Inn is taking a winter break. We’ll not be accepting reservations for stays January 12th-February 29th, 2024

You may and ARE encouraged to make reservations during this time for the rest of 2024 and into 2025!

We will use this time to do repairs and freshen up the old home stead!
Thanks for ALL your support the past 6 years!
And maybe just take a vacation ourselves. 😅

FarmHouse Inn boarded the Kleinschmits and Zelinskis over the 4th of July.
Family pitched in to make some landscaping repairs and other odd jobs around the farm.
The Kleinschmit Grand-Girls from Chicago and Minneapolis created a non amazing new mural on the sunporch window.

FarmHouse Inn is surrounded by green grass and budding flowers, thanks to timely rains and a normal winter. Spring has sprung!
Today we cleaned up debris in the backyard, left from the 45+ year old pines, that had to come down last summer.
So glad we managed to save the lilacs from Martin’s Mother.

Several weekends in May at the FarmHouse Inn still available.

With the weather finally improving, it’s perfect for gazing at the stars at night and sipping coffee on the sunporch in the morning

If May doesn’t work, there’s still a openings in June, July and September for a country getaway or friends/family gathering.

We’ll accept all suggestions for our landscaping project! Winds, drought and age destroyed the pine trees and gardens. Time to redo!

The FarmHouse Inn is slowly being decorated by spring colors and new life!
We’ve also enjoyed hosting a few hunting parties and a college golf team.
Along with family visiting a few times, the house is tuned up and ready to welcome new and returning travelers!

Marty and I are excited about our 6th Season getting into full swing.

A blizzard is the perfect time to catch up and tell you the news about the FarmHouse Inn!
6th Season starting with a bang, one blizzard after another.

No better time than to brighten things up...thanks to THE professional and efficient Deb Wiese, the living room is painted.
Pictures soon, after new curtains and perhaps new love seat added.

But for now...here's how it's been most of 2023!

01/04/2023

The FarmHouse was full of Kleinschmit’s for Thanksgiving. All 3 generations gathered for a traditional celebration, with turkey and all the trimmings.

Justin, our 4th son, Enisa and the 2 little boys returned for the holidays, to a white Christmas! Due to all the white stuff, the oldest, Julia and Jerry also joined us for part of the day.

It brought back fond memories of past Christmas’ of our kids loving the snow, a winter wonderland for them!

We celebrated the FarmHouses’s 75th Birthday, with a Kleinschmit Family Reunion!
It’s been a good year at the Inn, despite the drought.
The Pine trees behind the Inn had to come down and grasshoppers scavenged whatever they could. It looks a little desolate, but guests and the family enjoyed their vacations and celebrations.

Thanks for all the support, from our guests, housekeepers AND family.
Couldn’t do it with out you!!! ❤️❤️

FarmHouse Inn has sprung into Spring with 3 litters of kittens, flowers blooming and everything turning green!

We had a special treat from our guests that had a weekend getaway.
They bought our cows new clothes and boy are they strutting their stuff!

Thanks Gals, it’ll be hard to keep them down on the farm NOW! 🤣🤣🤣 ❤️
