Congratulations Kelsey!🤩
It is our great pleasure to announce that Kelsey Wood has been chosen to receive the 2021 Community Impact Award in recognition of the outstanding work that Lake Township FISH accomplished for the betterment of the Lake Township community, which includes resourceful and creative solutions she employed during the past two years. These efforts executed through volunteers went a long way to assure that F.I.S.H. was able to continue to assist local families with food insecurities and others facing eviction or utility shut-offs.

It began as a small cupboard in a church and has grown now to serve food to an average of 130 families each month. Lake Township FISH is supported by area churches, schools, businesses, and organizations. FISH operates a food pantry in Hartville, as well as offers emergency financial assistance to Lake Township residents facing utility shutoffs or evictions. Lake Township FISH is a proud partner of the Akron-Canton Regional Foodbank, Stark County Hunger Task Force, and more recently the Stark County Diaper Bank. In the past year, FISH has held 2,545 service events where they provided groceries to 325 households, including 1,030 individuals.
