Birds are cool... 45 min of some amazing finds including a Clapper Rail (life bird)! Also managed to catch a local fish I've never caught before. A Hickory Shad! Caught way more then just one!

Finally!! A big hats off to Cape Cod hospital, Dr French, Dr. Slater, Dr Oppenheimer, Dr. Miller, and all the amazing nurses and cna's for listening and following through with absolute integrity and determination, allowing me a shot at making this season count. I finally have answers that make sense, and that will give me the confidence to live freely without the chains I've been dragging around for too long.

... The most insane, questionable hobby (obsession), known to man... To think the lengths I went for a fish?


This year was a learning year. Yea, let's call it that. HA! This year almost took everything. In doing so, lessons were learned. The birding has continued in epic proportions inshore and offshore. Next year, we will run birding trips into Dec. Easily booked and advertised on an amazing boat that I am truly proud of. After that and possibly alongside, guided trips to the Cape Cod Hotspots in a new Chevy Silverado High Country that will take us safely to where we need to go!

I just finished Neil Haywards "Lost Among the Birds". Wow.. to be reminded that I'm not alone through a book. That a simple Brit came to find himself at my age with so much commonality, reminiscent of my own. Well, its refreshing. I don't think I've quite yet accidentally found myself, though in years past I have felt found. I have taken alot of pictures but I've shared none. That's what's loss will do to a person. Last year my father had Neil Scheduled to come out on the boat but unfortunately that will never happen. So instead, today I'll share some pictures with you and a paragraph from the book.

" It hadn't been like that. With the depression. There was never a future, or at least one that was painless enough to imagine. And without a future, without a space to dream of what's next or what could be, I become stuck with nowhere to go, condemned to live in the murky past, filled with failure and regrets. This Monday Aug 14 will be dedicated to the birds!

Leaving at 430 am will be our Pelagic Offshore 6 hour with chum trip. 4 people max 275$ per person. The boat must fill to leave.

11 am is our 4 hour Monomoy shore birds/plus inshore pelagics (which has been great!) We will circle Monomoy stopping along the way at various places. (We do not depart to walk on Monomoy) 6 person max. 175$ per person!

Please keep the comments aside.. As many are unaware, I am currently in Beth Isreal Hospital in Plymouth. Have been admitted for a few days before hopefully headed to Boston so a few things (Behind a lot of the recent stress, Colitis... checked) can get figured out. Already have some good help and answers. I am behind significantly with the business. I have owed deposits and borrowed money, alongside some bad luck. My primary concern is to my guests and those who helped me get this far. Some changes will have to be made but I will do my best to have it effect the experience on Pythias as little as possible and for as short as possible. I ask people to please understand why I do this and please be patient with deposits. I have wanted to give up many times, but as I sit here now in Johnny.... I tell you; I will not give up. And not just with Pythias. I am 100% fit, able and willing to run this business. Just gonna have to make some personal sacrifices. I love what I do and who i do it with and I couldn't imagine it any other way

The Black and White Warbler. A stunning bird that is easily recognizable, but often confused with the Blackpoll Warbler. Look for the yellow legs on the Blackpoll and the way the Black and White warbler feeds. Almost like a Nuthatch. The curved bill helps for digging out insects.
