Well it seems like the charters have come to an end. The sound has gotten cold and we’ve been doing some surf fishing. Not sure how anyone catches anything surf fishing, but we did manage a croaker and a few stingrays this past week. I’d rather be in a boat!!! Next up Pintail’s!!!!

We went on a mission this morning to what seemed
Like outer space!! Puffys point was a dead zone, and so was Diddy’s ditch. It took quite a bit of running with the new sonar but I finally found some fish. We filled up the 1-Fiddy yeti with convicts and headed home!! We won’t be eating Turkey tomorrow!!

The ocean was as calm as you’ll see it in November. Fishing was on the so-so side. There was some live bait action but I was stuck in a Sharknado most of the afternoon!!!!! It kind of reminded me of the movie twister!! I couldn’t get away from em…. Stuart did catch a citation at 30lbs. And plenty more to top the bagels with!!!! It was a beautiful day!!!!

Well the wind howled yesterday and flooded our island. Today I worked on some duck s**t, and installed a new GPS, rigged some new decoys, and removed a seat from the jet boat and made quite the discovery…. I was gonna fill in the hole with epoxy and foam but realized it made a better beer holder. So with it i went! Anyone got a flush mounted michelob ultra holder in their boats floor? That’s some Craig Allen s**t!!!!! Hopefully we will be back to fishing soon because I’m getting very bored!

Another day of being a part-timer…. So I decided to get a few of the duck boats ready.. Most of my sheepshead fishing is all done with my side-scan sonar or live scope, but I gave the ol’ barry Jr. a true sonar workout today. The ocean was calm enough to run down the beach and burn some gas in my jet boat. Moral of the story is….. why do I have 5,000$ worth of electronics on the red boat?

Well I got to the boat this morning and the wind was blowing so hard I could barely get outta the slip…. I went to turn on my GPS and it wouldn’t work so I decided to use the Barry Jr. sonar to try and understand where the convicts went…. After a few hours of looking around aimlessly in the middle of 4’ waves we found a puffy party!!!! I think I catch more without a sonar!!!

30 pack from Carlisle, PA and the crew enjoyed a great day on the ocean. We caught a few kings and then I slid the side scan sonar off too see what P-Diddys point was holding. A massive fish mark waiting for a mixed drink…. An hour later we landed a 70lb wahoo.. I thought he looked bigger on the sonar, but none the less a great fish on 20lb test and a sand flea!!!

Today I left early in the dark so nobody would see me heading to Puffy point! It was good when we got there, but fizzled out quick and I had to move to Beyoncé’s buoy!!! We caught a limit of convicts, blues, and on the way home back across the sound found a few big schools of drum. This evening my honeymoon crowd had a blast casting to blues and spot-tails. …. You never know what you’ll see around the docks and I’m just happy Ballyhoo Bob found An Amberjack today!!!

We took a long ride this morning to the triple nickle on a whim that it would be holding and it was a desert !!! So we fell back to plan B and hobnob creek was loaded! Big hungry convicts!!! This evening I burned the last few gallons of gas I had left and went to Sherman’s creek and loaded down on fillets!! Craig Allen showed up with his P-Diddy convict cakes this morning and said he didn’t wanna take a boat ride, if that was the case he would have joined the Navy!!! So we ran straight to the mailbox hole again and it delivered. We caught a limit of blues then the game plan fell apart when I couldnt find live bait to king fish with!!! This afternoon my new buddy Joe had some great action as wel!

Captain Time

I caught the fishing bug at a very young age as most people in this business do.

I started out in the freshwater lakes and rivers of Pennsylvania. As soon as I turned 16, I was off to fishing in bass tournaments. I finished my way through college and competed on the top tier of the professional Fishing League Worldwide tour (FLW). When I wasn’t casting for cash in a bass boat, I started to mate on off-shore charter boats and the salt water bug got me! Everyone knows Hatteras is where you need to be if you’re going to make it as a charter boat fisherman and that’s where I moved. Over the last twenty years, I’ve spent 150-200 days a year in the Atlantic ocean. As traveling to work as a captain or deck hand, in the winter time to places like Costa Rica. Madeira Portugal, the Canary Islands, and Palm Beach, FL. I’ve since graduated from the rough blue water to the calm shallow backwaters of the Pamlico Sound. With my extensive knowledge of the Pamlico Sound, I would love to show you a great time! From traditional rod and reel fishing, bow fishing, and nighttime flounder gigging.

I focus on making sure my customers have an exceptional time here. This could be from a bunch of friends that went to college together, to a young couple, or even a family with children. I have three children which has provided me with the ability to help young minds enjoy their experience fishing here and to keep them busy with action! They don’t want to be riding around all day looking for Cobia, they just wanna catch fish!! And that is what we will do.

I currently hold a USCG Master’s License. This is the highest level license that can be acquired.
