🎶 Hattiesburg and The University of Southern Mississippi is now home to Visit Mississippi’s newest Country Music Trail marker! 🎶

Visit Hattiesburg was honored to be a part of the team for the historical marker unveiling.

This new marker celebrates the legacy of country music icon, Lloyd Green, who attended Southern Miss in 1955.

This unveiling is one of many ways Mississippi is celebrating its role as "The Birthplace of America's Music" this year AND is the official kick off to Mississippi Musician’s Month (March).

Joining festivities today were Southern Miss President Dr. Joe Paul, Mayor Toby Barker, the legendary Marty Stuart, and honoree Lloyd Green and many of his friends and family.
