A peek inside the homestead of Flockhill Lodge 👀

The architecture and design of Flockhill was such a treat to experience in person. It is easy to see why it has become the newest Luxury Lodge of New Zealand.

Snow, rain, fog, wind, rainbows, and bright sunshine - we saw it all in our two nights at Flockhill. Amazingly, the weather only enhances its design at every turn. And that is largely due to the fact that its interior spaces are a celebration of its exterior spaces, with THAT VIEW the focal point of every room.

Summing up Flockhill Lodge on New Zealand’s South Island is difficult to do in words.

The lodge itself is architecturally beautiful. The service from each member of its team is beyond expectations. But the heart of its beauty lies in its people, who make the experience immersive and personal.

Our team visited the lodge for two nights and felt as if the lodge was truly their home.

From a wonderful greeting upon arrival from General Manager, Andrew, to James and Hara taking such great care of us. From Chef Craig creating incredible dishes in the kitchen, to Sean the shepherd putting the team to work on the paddocks, and Keith showcasing the beauty of the Flockhill boulders. From Chef Taylor and Chef Floyd’s passion for inventing fine-dining morsels for the lodge’s soon-to-open Sugarloaf restaurant, to Valerie sharing behind the scenes stories of the Flockhill team - we are now part of the Flockhill family. ♥️
