Ok I found a guy who sells truly micro mini cows!! Chris at Rocking L Miniature Cattle Ranch. These little 🐄 cows I would feel comfortable having around kids. I’m going to wait until this person has some that will be good for the campground

The baby ones and full grown ones look very similar in size. His bull, Ohno clone, has produced over 5 million in offspring

Please join me in wishing Ms Molly Mae a Very Happy 2nd Birthday 🥳 🎂🍧

For those of you who haven’t been here for a while, here’s the story of

On Valentine’s Day of last year (2023) someone who works for me said- “I know someone who has a dog like Sir Charles but she’s never been out of her cage and she’s 8 months old”.

I said- “what do you mean never been out of her cage?” He replied, “well the people who have her are overwhelmed with dogs and kids and don’t really have time for her”.

I didn’t need another dog…

But

I couldn’t stand that a dog was caged up all day. I asked him if it was possible to go see her with Sir Charles. He called Mollys owners and I made the one hour trek to Cleveland GA to go see her.

When we arrived they brought her outside. She was matted and could hardly move her legs. She had fleas. And ticks. And she smelled awful.

I couldn’t leave her there.

I offered them $500 for the matted, flea ridden, tick infested pup and loaded her up in the back seat with Sir Charles. As I was heading out they asked me if I wanted to take her cage. I declined knowing I didn’t want her to spend another night caged up, lonely and by herself. Once I get her cleaned up, she was sleeping in my bed.

On the way back home we wound through the twisty, turn-y roads of Helen GA. I’ve never had a dog who got car sick. Molly crapped and vomited all over my back seat.

When I got her home she went in the massive copper tub and got cleaned up. I don’t think she had ever had a bath or been outside.

After her bath I brought her down to the creek to relax. She fell asleep on the shore of the creek and when she woke up and started walking toward me I noticed a large heart shaped rock under where she was sleeping. I always say she left me her heart. That heart shaped rock is now prominently placed in the fairy garden by the creek.

Later that evening I spent hours with scissors cutting huge mats out of her fur so she could walk. She was a real good sport about it.

Since I was totally against keeping her caged up, I let her roam free the first night.

I have about 30 pair of shoes. Ms Molly picked out the absolute most expensive pair I had- the $3000 Louboutin high heels and decides to chew them to pieces. Then she craps from one end of the house to the other. I was questioning whether it was the best idea to adopt her at this point. She was scared and I was frustrated.

Thankfully a friend gave me a dog cage for her. She spent only a few nights in it until she was trained.

We made it though the first week and Messy Molly started to grow on me. Things got better. She learned how to go outside to go to the bathroom. She learned to chew bones instead of expensive shoes and she learned how to sleep in a nice comfy bed instead of a cold, hard cage.

Molly Mae won my heart and we joke that she won the puppy lottery. I feel pretty fortunate to have found her.

These days she spends her mornings frolicking in the creek with Sir Charles and the afternoons catching a snooze under the big old apple tree down below. In the evenings you can catch her around the fire snuggled up next to one of the guests or chasing fireflies in the wide open field.

I think Sir Charles von Doodle sees her as the pesky little sister, who nips his ears and always tries to get him to play. And I’ve really grown to love this mischievous little girl.

So, if you’re out at the campground today, please stop and give Messy Molly Mae a pat on the head and a belly rub and wish her a very Happy 2nd Birthday
