John definitely has a gift of getting the best out of every musician while they are recording their respective parts plus he himself is a musician and knows how musicians want their recording done. Not only is he friendly and humorous, but he will make the most out of each session you do there. Even after we were done recording he continued to do an impressive job at mixing and mastering our record, not to mention got it to us on time. Another great feature that Monumental Studios offers is the superior recording equipment, all his mics were top of the line. Also, in stressful situations I enjoyed how John always had great smelling candles to light to relieve some of the stress that arises when recording. Recording at Monumental Studios was the best decision the band has ever made. Period. The band entered Monumental with the hopes of creating a professional grade recording and with the help of John we were well on our way. John creates a relaxed atmosphere in the studio that combats nervousness and helps to promote a positive session. John’s first priorities are YOUR priorities. He asks what your expectations are for each song and helps each band member to mold their sound perfectly in every situation. Tapping into his knowledge of music theory and his understanding of many different genres, he is constantly looking for ways to enhance the “feel” of the song. In other words, John tries to bring out the best in each musician, while being careful to keep the band’s wishes in mind. However, the friendly atmosphere and supreme musicianship are not the only positive aspects of Monumental Studios. The equipment is absolutely top of the line and John has mastered its use. After our sessions were done and the tracks were mixed, John sent us a copy of our recording to make sure everything was perfect. Any last minute changes, no matter how big or small, Monumental Studios will edit without the slightest grumble. If the saying, “Better inputs equals better results,” is a test of a good recording, then Monumental Studios passes with flying colors. The final product sounded AMAZING. Monumental Studios offers a multimillion-sounding product without the multimillion-dollar price tag. The rates are extremely fair. In fact, after some research I found that the rates of Monumental Studios are unbeatable. The decision to record at Monumental Studios is a no-brainer. Recording at Monumental Studios:
Upon entering the studio you automatically feel great with the atmosphere and feel of the place. As soon as you enter, work is underway and no time is wasted. While waiting to track your certain instrument not a second is dull whether it be John doing something funny with the sounds or cracking on someone. Unlike other producers John, will not drill you he gives suggestions on what he thinks will sound better and make things simpler for the musician of that instrument. I know when we entered our guitar/drums were so off and John helped us rewrite an entire drum part. John's patience isn't thin either, I had to track my vocals at least 1,000 times that night and come back in the following week to re-do them. After finishing everything and relistening to the work John did it sounds amazing. The quality is banging and anything you think needs to be edited a tiny bit will be done. I highly recommend recording at Monumental Studios. Totally worth it!!

The experience Broad Callings had at Monumental Studios was one of its own. The studio itself, despite its size, had a great vibe and was inspirational for recording. John definitely knew what he was doing. Broad Callings learned so much with his help throughout the whole time there. We were able to crack a couple of jokes and still get our work done. Our song was enriched with the many suggestions that was contributed. We highly recommend going to Monumental Studios if you are ever interested in recording a song. Broad Callings definitely will be going back for more recordings (or just to pester John). The pricing is very reasonable for such a great quality recording. And did I mention you get free water?
