Over the years we have created a guidebook for our guest showcasing all that this creative and hardworking community has to share. We are always adding something new and when I see it all together I’m always amazed at how much cool stuff is happening right here in our backyards. Creating the space at is something I take great pride in. A true labor of love. It began with my husband and I putting in the hard work to build it from the ground up only for it to become this gorgeous space. A little piece of the that has evoked rest and relaxation for so many happy guests over the years. Of course it means a lot to me that I include little touches from like this leather guestbook cover made by but when the pages finally filled up with love letters from our previous guests it felt completely natural to tuck in the hand printed journal made by new friend that and I met at an incredible retreat this summer. Big gratitude to our host for bringing us all together! I had to snap this sweet shot to share with ya’ll and my momma’s lavender made the moment that much sweeter. It’s a beautiful thing when your passions, friends, professions and even your worlds collide.

From return guests at Creekside all the way to our FIRST guests at Hector Lookout Loft...it’s just incredible how perfectly so many local endeavors fit together! Last week return guests at Creekside were so pleased with muffins and the “Graze box” from The Pantry Hector, NY , and the amazing new bubbles from Rasta Ranch Vineyards! We will be using this leather journal from Hector Handmade (made by Gio & Ariana Marmora) as our guest book for the Lookout Loft. And of course stickers for everyone!! (Designed by me!)

After the last year and a half there are a million reasons having an “open house” felt really amazing! We are so glad to have been able to show some of our neighbors, friends and family how far we have come on our whole property since we moved there in 2013. The apartment is offically mom approved! Took it for a little test run with our first “guest” for a much needed and long overdue ladies night! Walked to dinner at the Stonecat Cafe and just enjoyed the new space together. So fun! So close to finishing up. Stay tuned for an open house date in the next couple of weeks!

Spending this holiday week enjoying a “working vacation” in the new studio apartment. Long days of plumbing in sinks and toilets are balanced out by the fun seeing the design come together! Loving the new furniture, the bed is super comfy and the morning coffee view is pretty dang amazing! Stay tuned for more finished photos-including the adorably functional kitchenette and surprisingly spacious bathroom!

With only ten days before our first guests since 2019 we are excited to be putting all the finishing touches on the main house. The spring flowers are popping and the new grass is growing in strong with all of the rain we have seen lately. We are still working hard on the interior of the new studio apartment but the exterior is complete and just beautiful! New this year, we are especially excited to provide delicious local coffee from Seneca Sunrise Coffee and artisanal soaps from Akenehi ! Because even with all the big things we have going on around here we know it’s the little things that make your stay special!

The “Pink D**k” is a local Hector legend. Grapefruit goodness to bring on all those summer feels! Open this Friday for the season and so close to the house it’s almost dangerous!

It is imperative that we quality control all of our cocktail recipes in these crucial days leading up to our season reopening, even if the recipe for a Pink D**k hasn’t changed in 60 years.

Ya’ll check us out! Roof is on, board and batten siding is hung, fence is up, new garage doors are up, grass seed and straw are laid, deck is done and the water and electric are hooked up! Whew! Only a couple more details and landscaping and exterior will be totally wrapped up! Soon the contractors will be packing up and it’s up to us to finish the interior. We are right on track and have the property ready for our main house guests coming in May and hope to have the studio apartment ready as early as June🤞🏽! Time to pick paint colors, finalize the design style, complete the interior installs and choose a name for the new apartment! 🤗.
