WHAT TO KNOW, before heading to Brasstown Bald during the off-season:

⚠️The roadway up to Brasstown Bald, GA HWY 180 Spur, has a gate controlled by the Georgia DOT which is closed in inclement weather. Follow their page: Georgia Department of Transportation

📍 You have the option to park and hike to the summit:
If the gate is closed at the GA HWY 180 Spur, you can park at Jack’s Gap and hike 2.5 miles on Jack’s K**b Trail to access the site. Please utilize the designated parking area and DO NOT park at the gate or block the roadway.

💕 Please help support the operations by paying the Day Use Fee utilizing the Fee Tube. Note that CXT and portable toilets will be available in the Brasstown Bald parking lot and on the summit. There will not be any potable water available on site, so come prepared with water.
