Our Vision: That all guests have the best vacation experience during their stay with us at Georgia Mountain Rentals. We know how special time away from home and work is; this matters to us. Our Mission: Have open and honest communication with guests, homeowners and the Georgia Mountain Rentals’ team.

The Story of How it Began: Nita and Jim Decker made a trip up to the North Georgia Mountains in 2004 and fell in love with the area. They found the perfect mountain home for their vacations and thought it a fun idea to rent to guests when they were home in Florida. After experimenting with two different property management companies, they took their holiday home off the rental program. It goes to say that the two rental companies they used are no longer in business. The experience was not pleasant and it was best to simply remove it from any rental program. A few years later, Nita felt the urge to be in the mountains full time... "The Mountains are calling, I must go".

She got her real estate license and began working with a realtor in Helen, who also owned a vacation rental company. Jim and Nita were asked if they were interested in purchasing Georgia Mountain Rentals. This peeked their interest, knowing they could do a much better job at managing vacation rental properties than the companies they had attempted to work with for the one cabin. On June 1st, 2006 the deal was signed, sealed and delivered! Georgia Mountain Rentals began with 14 properties in 2006 under their vacation rental management program. Today, we offer over 80 vacation rental cabins, studios, cottages, luxury homes and chalets for guests!
