There’s been another change to the Disability Access Service at Walt Disney World and Disneyland - Registration will now be 60 days in advance.

Guests who need to register for DAS at Walt Disney World and Disneyland Resort can now have the pre-arrival conversation as soon as 60 days in advance of a park visit.

Previously, the policy was no earlier than 30 days prior to a park visit. If your family has a family member who might need additional services, Jess Emerson Travels specializes in these areas for our travelers!!!

Travel Agent hurricane post and no this isn’t to sell you anything:

The big question that my clients and those who haven’t even booked through me have asked: Should I cancel my cruise that leaves out of the East coast, cancel my Disney trip this weekend, travel to Orlando before the storm was what it is at this month. So many questions and I’m happy to give my clients comfort if possible and factual information to help them decide these things ❤️

1. Should you stay or should you go is such a hard question with any storm. We could say stay and not travel and then the storm would hit south Florida and skip central Florida all together. We could say go and the storm would hit Central Floridas coast leaving an unknown for Orlando. We could say go and Orlando lose power for a day and bounces back or it could be for a week. It’s just not a super straight forward answer. There are so many opinions on these things but one thing is for certain, Orlando will receive rain and wind minimum if it hits Tampa or probably just in general but until we see the over night changes we truly won’t know for certain because no human is perfect and all knowing.

2. Some say the storm is wobbling, at least a lot of Floridians who have lived through these storms have said. It still has time to make changes north or south. Being prepared as a local is key, evacuating the coast is necessary, being prepared to spend the day in your hotel or home if your anywhere in the path of the storm is also necessary.

3. Everyone in Florida can’t just get in a car and flee when they live inland. It would be like saying all us in Alabama need to flee the city when we have storms come that might produce tornadoes.

4. If your along the coast, you most definitely needed to go inland or north. Period. Everyone else, outside of the surge area has to do what they think is best and be prepared for no power etc.

Lastly, let’s not forget those in NC, Tennessee didn’t get the choice to leave in advance, it happened out of thin air in so many instances with little to no warning. Mother Nature is not controllable and when she strikes hard, we have to be there to help all of our neighbors locally and across the south.

Wow, August got here fast!!!!!! Our summer has been crazy busy over here like many of our followers. With the end of summer comes change for many of us, I thought this would be a great time to share a permanent change here at Jess Emerson Travels.

First, we are very excited to share we will continue to plan the following select destinations, which include:

All Inclusive resorts
Disney products
Universal Orlando and Hollywood

We would also like to share another change we have gradually been making over the last year. Our agency has decided to no longer book and plan cruises (with the exception of Disney Cruises). However, we have found a wonderful local agent who we are very excited to partner with to refer our amazing travelers too. What this means is, If you are looking to plan a cruise and want to book with a travel agent, while Jess and Tara will no longer be assisting, we have a wonderful agent we will refer this business to who plans cruises almost exclusively!!!

So in closing, Jess and Tara are happy to continue to plan our three specialties above but if you are looking for a cruise specialist, we have an amazing agent we would love to share with you to ensure you continue to get the level of service you have grown to know and love with Jess Emerson Travels!!!

Good morning,
