All books are hand-cleaned prior to shelving and with over 45,000 books inventoried in our own local warehouse, it could be hard for you to leave empty handed. OK, for the last 30 seconds, I've been trying to correct spacing on a document and get rid of an extra period only to find it was a dust spot on the monitor. Maybe it was fairy dust!!

I am relieved to let everybody and anybody know we have reached an agreement with our property (manager) that allows us to stay where we are till at least the end of the year. The rent is going UP UP UP but we are just going to hunker down a bit and I suppose; at some levels "work to pay the rent".

That said, it is one less thing for me to fret about and I do fret!!! I am one of those people that do not have a brain that turns off at night...but now, this is GREAT news.

Thanks to everybody who has supported us in one way or another and for anybody that donated $$, THANK YOU!!! It will be applied to the increased rent and position us to take a more leisurely approach to consider a move.

We welcome for the very first time to Copper Cat Books, Michael S. Manley with his book "The Picture Island".

Deep in the snowy woods, four orphans of the Bunion Home for Extra Children discover a broken picture frame hidden in a stone garden. In another time, across the sea, a boy is born with a decidedly pointy head; his fate is tied to the two young sisters he meets at a seaside carnival. And on the cold sands of a cursed beach, a white buffalo pines for his lost treasure.

All the characters' separate journeys bring them to the Picture Island, and an epic battle with a Sea Witch for the island-and their own souls-ensues.

Our seating area gets a makeover! Halloween is one of our favorite times of the year so we go all out but it's time to let the cozy vibes settle in for autumn. Come on by to cuddle into our comfy chairs and couches while you check out our new holiday cookbook display, perfect for finding recipes (and some crafts!) for entertaining this time of year.

Here is a step by step guide on how to send your submission! 1. Send an email to sales-info @ coppercatbooks.com with the subject line “My Cat of the Month” before 11/27. 2. Attach a photo your cat, include their name, a very brief description or favorite fact. 3. Hit send! 4. Keep an eye on our Facebook posts and Instagram stories on 11/30 for when voting begins and give them your vote! If your submission is chosen, your cat will be featured in our upcoming newsletter and you will recieve a $10 gift certificate on us! Want to sign up for our newsletter as well? Copper Cat Books .... We are two years old now!!!

We have successfully made it through two years of new used books store owner challenges!!

So much goes on at our little shop; book club, author book signings...we even had a special Jane Austen costume event. Send us your fun book store ideas for consideration.

Check our website for some of the “other books” we have in our warehouse (not the same as what we have in-store). Go to www.coppercatbooks.com and select “our books”, then scroll down till you see “partial listing”...(or something like that). Click on that link, but do NOT print...almost 1000 pages. Then, it is a SUPER basic search “Control F” and put your search in. If you find something you might want...just call or drop us an email and we will pull from the warehouse, let you know when we have the book(s) in the store and you can come take a look and decide if you want to purchase.

We also have “Wendy’s Wish List”....if we don’t have the book in the store or warehouse and it something you really want, Wendy goes hunting for it. We do take a down payment on wish list items because there can be a lot of time “hunting” and some books are kind of pricey.
