A big THANK YOU to our wonderful friends and family who took the time to come help with continued clean up. We can’t thank you enough ❤️❤️❤️ Catherine Rainey and 2 of her daughters Marguerite and Eliza, Drew, West (who came from Charlotte, NC in his truck full of shovels, tarps, gloves for everyone and more, and Jackie Sankey. Oh… and last week Rob Sankey, John’s brother came from St. Louis to help with clean up too!!

The two cottages shown on our cover picture are gone ! Washed away in the flood . With heavy heart we pray for our beautiful town of Bat Cave - Chimney Rock - Lake Lure and other places impacted by this horrible storm.
We feel very blessed all our tenants are safe 😂

We are sad to say that 2 of our cottages are gone …and even sadder is that there are 2 people that lived in one of the cottages that had 2 efficiencies lost their belongings and the 3 other cottages that still remain are probably not livable. From what I understand at this point is that the old mill that was on the other side of the bridge slide down onto another one of our remaining cottages… there was also another cottage that we didn’t own is destroyed or gone as well.
