✨ Moss Paint ✨
Since the Paint Lady hasn’t been able to paint all ya’alls walls.. she’s gone crazy painting rocks! That’s right. Give Moss Paint a try!

👉🏼 RECIPE
4 cups (32 oz) buttermilk or yogurt
1 cup moss

Mix in a blender (or something like)
Paint rocks or anything you want to have moss grow! Try terracotta pots to make them look aged 😆

Sorry we haven’t updated you all in awhile, it’s because we’ve also been on hold! Since we’re not painting houses right now, we are doing all kinds of home projects!

Karens fun spring project is planting zinnias with Seed tape. This is a new one even for her! All you need is glue, seeds, and toilet paper! (she had some really cheap commercial toilet paper laying around from before COVID 19 panic buying 😅)

All you do is roll out the paper, put a dot of glue 10 inches apart and place the seed! Layout where you want them and watch your blooms perfectly spaced!

Congratulations Hudson and Murphy! These two make a one of a kind team! Hudson is our quality control and newcomer trainer. He did great this week with our newest recruit! Murphy is our #1 drop cloth holder. If you lay a drop cloths down, you sure don’t have to worry about it sliding around!

We painted a lot of Mannered Gold in the early 2000’s. Golds are out, greys are still big, but white on white is coming in fast! And this Sherwin-Williams Neutral Ground makes this small living space 10x bigger! We love this transformation!

Welcome to 2020, goodbye 2010✨

Got rid of the builders beige and put in Sherwin-Williams Mega Greige. Painted all the ceilings agreeable gray so that the white crown molding really pops, and not more busy stripes!

While we are in the last few hours of the year, I want to take the time to thank each and every one of you who have trusted me to paint your homes, and for allowing me to do something I love! 💕

For the past ✨25 years✨ (yes this will be my 25th 🤗) I have gone from just trying to pay a few extra kid bills to totally supporting myself and I feel so fortunate I can do something I love daily. Thank you for being a part of it!

👏🏼👏🏼 Employee of the Week Congratulations Honey Bees! Because of their strong work ethic, and their reminder of how important it is to stop and smell the flowers 🐝🌸 Andrew Jackson gave the family this Cedar Tree when they built the house in 1825. It’s now hollow inside and bees have made a beehive! It’s called a Honey Tree, you hardly ever see them because they are so rare. Karen has only seen one other her whole life, it was years ago on her family property in Arkansas!

What in the world is The Paint Lady up to now? You know we paint more than walls! Can anyone guess what this is? ✨Check back tomorrow to see!

✨Prepare to Sell✨ Over the years, we have slowly removed popcorn ceilings from the house. The master was the last to go! Step 1 in the master flip - take down the popcorn 🙌🏼 it’s messy, but makes all the difference and is really appealing for potential buys.

Paint Lady Pearls of Wisdom: As you can imagine, we see a lot of cool things in people’s homes. We loved this drying rack so much, several of us bought one and we just had to share it with you. It rolls up, moves easily, and holds a lot of weight.

Sometime painting a ceiling makes the biggest impact. This is how the paint lady spent her Thanksgiving day at the farm in Jasper Arkansas. We paint the walls earlier this year.

The one time we take a minute to document the before, and we didn’t take a single after. We will be back in the house soon and we will get you the after pics. In the meantime, a glimpse into the life of a paint lady.

✨Weekend Project✨ When your a young first time homeowner, you paint your husbands office red. Because he insists “red is a cool”. This little room is too dark for red, it’s happy to be Shirwin Williams Paints Blonde 👏🏼👏🏼
