Yesterday we worked a few projects at Sunset Paradise. For lunch, I ran out and got the Chicken Pesto on Sourdough from Bennie & Burk’s Butcher Shop, LLC. It’s was as good as it looks!! They are a MUST when visiting Lake Gaston and only a few miles down the road from Sunset Paradise!!!

A few pics from the weekend! New art work, a fun kiddie beach, boat dogs, and more! What you don’t see are new hooks in every bedroom, clean gutters, cleaned drains, repaired a light switch, covered an outdoor outlet, new spa cover lifter, and about asphyxiated ourselves when applying polyurethane to the dining table (note to self- take it outside next time!!) we are feeling moderately ready for the summer season!!

A few weekend projects: hanging some art for those fun “pops is color”, photographing the gorgeous sunset (paradise 😊), improving the lighting situation in the back yard (love it), and painted the garage (until 2 am- not me, Mike and the kids 😝)

The major project for this weekend at Sunset Paradise was a bunk room flip- we swapped out 4 single beds for 5 full sized beds to improve our guest experience. Each bed has a light, USB, and a place to set a cell phone. The room has a table for games/puzzles/dining, a couch to relax on while streaming tv/movies, a game center, and a PAcMan arcade game.

Finished projects from the weekend!!
1. Dressed up the entryway with a board and batten feature wall
2. Swapped some beds around
3. Cut down head boards to not block the windows improving the feel of the rooms and increased natural light (huge improvement!!)
4. New bi-fold doors for the closet that didn’t have any doors (why no doors??)
5. 2 sets of washer/dryers! Check out the blue (obsessed). One set for the upper level and a second set for the lower level (garage space. Game changer for turn days!)
