Here was my delimma, 1) new deck, made with composite and nothing to attach the bird feeder to.
2) Mother who must feed her babies.
So, I go to Pinterest and search for a solution. Have cedar and pressure treated lumber leftover from another project. Reused the bird feeder on a telescoping arm.

Problem solved. And a shelf for more plants.
Winner, winner chicken dinner.

Cabin is open for 2023. We have made some updates, New flooring on the cabin. Reupholster chairs in the bedrooms, living room and dining table. Refinished the dining g table. Concrete work outside in front yard. New flower beds.

This stylish Rubber ducky is ready to race in the Chamber of Commerce Ducky Race on July 2, 2022 below the dam on Lake Pomme de Terre.

She is decked out to honor Uncle Truman's US Navy service in WWII on the USS Iowa.

We are closed for the season. Thanks to all who booked with Uncle Truman's Cabin this year. We enjoyed all the guests and look forward to 2022. Safe travels and as always explore new places.

We are open for 2021. New deck but the rails are not in due to Covid 19 backorder. Look forward to meeting new friends and reconnect with guests who are returning.

Some of our guests were asking for photos of the dock. It is down the hill, so you will get your exercise going up the hill. The Corp of Engineers maintains a buffer between the lake and private owners.

2020 season is coming to a close for Uncle Truman's Cabin. We have three weekends left. Mom and I want to thank all our guests. 2020 was a challenge but we were blessed. May each of you stay safe and we hope to see you next year.

Summer is winding down. Been a great year. The Cabin has afforded our guest some isolation yet outside activities during the Covid 19 pandemic. We thank our guests and look forward to seeing you again.

Well it was an awesome first season for our rental. Mom and I want to thank each of our guest for their rentals and we hope to see them again. We are now closed for the remainder of 2017. We will reopen on March 1, 2018. Hope to see you here. Lake Pomme de Terre is such a beautiful and peaceful place.
