Please meet Bob.
Bob is 98 and never had a need for a passport until now.
Bob served in the U. S. Army as part of the D-Day invasion at Normandy and fought in the Battle of the Bulge.
Bob has been selected by the Best Defense Foundation to return to the beaches of Normandy where he valiantly fought nearly 80 years ago. “From the shores of Normandy to the black volcanic sands of Iwo Jima…The Best Defense Foundation ensures that any WWII veteran who wants a measure of closure or the recognition he so richly deserves has an opportunity to return to his battlefield.”
This June Bob will be flown to France to partake in the anniversary memorial held each year at Normandy. He will once again visit the beach where he landed and join other veterans in remembering the heroism and sacrifice made by his fellow soldiers.

I would like to thank my staff, Hampton Boro Clerk Linda Leidner, NJ DOH Staffer Carmela Vargas, Congressman Tom Malinowski and a special shout out to Bob's niece Jenn for their help. As a team working across various agencies we secured Bob a passport and I am so thrilled to say Bob will be going to Normandy Beach for closure in June.

I could not be more proud to call Bob my friend. My deepest gratitude and respect to you sir. The BEST Passport of my career as County Clerk. Safe travels!!!!
