Very lovely space. Had some minor issues with the Wi-Fi password and then the grill not igniting however, host was very responsive to any questions or concerns and was fixed right away. We loved the thoughtful touches such as including helpful details about local spots in their booklet. Our only regret was not being able to go tubing down the river which is right in the backyard. Will definitely be back!

Whenever we visit, Osborn Farms is always a staple! The best meat around! Try their goat cheese and sauces too! Right down the street from River Run Retreat!

There’s no secret when it comes to our meat quality. We emphasize that our cows 🐄 are grass fed, grain finished, no antibiotics and no hormones 💎

Grass fed, grain finished just means that our cows eat grass and forage for a majority of their life then spend the last few months eating a balanced diet of grain and grass 🌾
…But why grain finished and not just grass fed❓ Adding grain to our cows’ diet is for marbling and tenderness of the meat 🥩 It gives the meat a more milder steak flavor whereas just grass fed tends to have a “gamier” flavor.

This place was wonderful! It may look small, but it is filled with cute and fun activities all around. I've never been to and Airbnb where the host paid so much attention to small details. My host was incredibly responsive and helpful to all my many, many questions. I loved and adored it here, most definitely will be coming back.

This house was a great. The owner have put a lot of time and money into the upgrades of this house and it shows. So many things are provided for you and great quality items are available for you to use. The beds and bedding are so comfortable. I am sure I will miss some things but this is some items from the top of my head that was provided for us - Coffee / Cocoa / Hot tea bar. She has an espresso machine!!! Keurig and a regular coffee pot. Smore's making kit - Dish Detergent, Laundry Detergent, Spices, Pam, In the refrigerator is Mayo, Must, Ketchup, Sauces AND MORE! She has two cabinets where she has spices, Pam, and food for you to use - if you want. I didn't go thru all of that since I bought my own stuff. She had umbrellas on the porch, shower shoes. This is not a normal set up when you rent a place. They might give you one towel per person and one garbage bag. Also when you rent a place and need to ask the host a question - you know sometimes you wait hours or days to get a response ??? No with her - she responds within minutes. I can not say enough nice things about the host and location.
Right on the water - great outdoor area - two porches (front and back). Fire pit area - hot tub and kayak's. Hammock on the back porch - tree swing.

We couldn’t have picked a better place to spend the weekend! The owners were so accommodating, we were able to check in early too! The house has everything to make you feel at home. Fully stocked kitchen and that coffee bar! WOW. We all wanted to redecorate our kitchens when we got home. It was so nice to have the space to cook a big meal. The beds were wonderful and luxurious. The owners went above and beyond with the quality of everything, the towels, linens, toiletries all top of the line. Plenty of extra blankets for chilly mornings. We enjoyed coffee on the porch and evenings by the fire pit. We explored the nearby towns during the day and found a great little restaurant/bar (The Sandbar) in town for a little nightlife with a great view of Lake Chatuge. Can’t wait to visit again this summer and take advantage of the waterfront, we noticed the owners supply kayaks and tubes. This place does not disappoint.

We absolutely loved our stay! The home was clean and cozy, right on the river! Pure definition of peace and quiet! What you see on the photos is what you get and more!
Great coffee bar as soon as you enter with coffee, coco and teas, including various sweeteners and syrups.
You can literally just come with your clothes. Besides groceries all the amenities were there and good quality!
Actually there were a few items (maybe left by previous guests) various seasonings, pasta and sauce that I guess in a pinch could’ve made a meal. I didn’t ask, it also could very well have been one of the many thoughtful nuances about this place.
The custom bed in the master was so comfortable! I had the most peaceful sleep. Lastly we enjoyed hot tub, it was so relaxing. Some of those jets were quite powerful. Be careful though, some of them were giving “bidet”😂😉
I highly recommend this home. The last mile to get to it is on a tricky narrow road leading to a dead end, drive careful! Definitely worth it!

This place is perfect from top to bottom! You can tell the owners definitely took their time with remodeling and updating this place. There was no money spared, even in the details of décor and glassware. I’m so used to going to rentals where you have to provide absolutely everything including extra toilet paper on your own but not this place! They had everything from coffee syrups, extra sandals in case you needed them beach towels for the river and hot tubs, kayaks, and river tubes. The list could go on and on. The only suggestion I would give would be extra kitchen hand towels, outside of that everything that you need and more. My kids and I enjoy the hot tub getting in the river, all the games they had to offer, the fire pit was so nice! We even went into town went hiking one day, found a cute little local restaurant/brewery to eat at And went to Helen another day. We will definitely be back probably with others and rent The loft. The owners were extremely responsive and very kind you will not be disappointed!!

I found a gem tucked away hidden in a beautiful Georgia mountain get away. Rest relaxation was needed for my family. A great place for campfires, back porch coffee and a breath of fresh mountain air. All with the best of accommodations, room and comfort ! Thank you for a very nice experience that we will return to again and again for years to come.
