Irresistible Lemon Cake
Ingredients:
For the Cake:
1 box of yellow cake mix
1 small box of instant lemon pudding mix
¾ cup of vegetable oil
¾ cup of water
4 eggs, beaten
For the Glaze:
2 cups powdered sugar
2 tablespoons melted butter
2 tablespoons water
⅓ cup fresh lemon juice
Directions:
1. Preheat the Oven:
- Set your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13-inch baking pan to ensure easy release of the cake.
2. Prepare the Cake Batter:
- In a large bowl, beat the eggs until smooth. Add the cake mix, lemon pudding mix, oil, and water. Mix everything until the batter is smooth and well combined.
3. Bake the Cake:
- Pour the batter into the prepared pan. Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
4.Prepare the Glaze:
- While the cake is baking, mix powdered sugar, lemon juice, and water in a medium bowl. Add the melted butter and stir until smooth.
5. Glaze the Cake:
- After the cake is baked, remove it from the oven and allow it to cool slightly. Poke holes all over the cake using the end of a wooden spoon. Pour the glaze evenly over the cake, letting it seep into the holes.
6. Serve and Enjoy:
- Allow the cake to cool completely before slicing and serving. Enjoy the moist, lemony goodness!
