Thank you to everyone who made it out to our office holiday party! We met a LOT of new faces this year and it was so nice to see familiar ones too! Our objective was to spread a little holiday cheer and that everyone made a new friend or two last night. We love our community and we really appreciate the support! Thank you to DJ Josh Isles with Isles Entertainment for providing the music and to Kit for helping out with everything! Congrats to the raffle ticket winners! The Barn at Higgins Lake Offices would like to welcome Moppin’ Mama’s LLC!

Moppin Mama’s was established in 2018 by two educators. They service Roscommon and Ogemaw counties doing residential, short term rental turnovers and commercial cleans. They offer flexible packages for biweekly or monthly tidy ups, spring and deep cleans, move out/move in cleans and post construction cleans. Moppin’ Mammas can take some of the day to day duties off busy families, create a relaxing space for vacations or give a fresh slate for a family to make a home.

Moppin’ is owned by Alicia Thurston. She is a wife, a mom of five kids, and a special education teacher- so she knows what busy is! Her favorite kind of clean is for the working parents who get to come home to a sparkling clean house and not have so many chores on their to do lists for a few days!

We want to thank everyone who stopped by The Barn at Higgins Lake Offices annual holiday meet and greet! It was a lot of fun getting to know new faces in our awesome community and spread some holiday cheer. Jenny will be selling her English toffee, cookies, candies and gluten free cream puffs in boxes. All made fresh for the party and these yummy treats would make great Christmas presents! The Barn at Higgins Lake Offices would like to welcome Attorney Joshua D. West, Esq. Josh has worked in the legal system for the past 23 years. He started his career as the law clerk for the late Judge Bill Bolle, chief judge of the 52nd District Court.

He opened up his practice in 2005 and specializes in criminal/traffic law, estate planning, business law, and property/real estate law.

Josh is a former prosecutor and recently completed a project as a special prosecutor. He graduated from the University of Michigan with a BA. He earned his juris doctorate in law at the Wayne State University Law School.

Josh has been coming to Higgins Lake since he was 5 and bought a home here in 2008.
