A quick reminder: I am not back in “the office” officially until Wednesday. I am trying to get some work done in the car but our baby girl has been pretty motion sick on our drive home and has needed extra loving. I have a few quotes to complete, emails to reply to, a honeymoon to book, and welcome packets to send to clients. I’m coming I promise! These kids are ALL HANDS on deck.

Today we arrived in Savannah and enjoyed a historical tour trolly ride, checked in to our beautiful hotel, and ate an amazing dinner at Pirates House!

The trolley ride was fun for the first hour but then the kids lost steam (understandable)…Hattie knocked Aiden’s glasses into the street…and the Savannah traffic had us 🥴🥴🥴 We definitely prefer our Disney bubble but Savannah is very beautiful! Would be an excellent parents get away location.

Looking forward to being home!

Settle a debate between Donny and I!

He says that there is no competition to the Pirates Of The Caribbean theming/ride queue. (This is his favorite ride)

I HIGHLY disagree and feel that Toy Story Mania is the BEST theming in all of Disney World. The entire Toy Story section of Hollywood Studios is my FAVORITE.

What would you say is the best themed waiting queue at Disney World?!

One picture doesn’t tell the whole story 🫶🏻

Remember that social media only shows you a snippet, a tiny glimpse, a sliver of someone’s day. Usually it’s the best moment too.

Today has been one of those parenting days that has made most of the day pretty crummy if I’m honest 🤣 Something to remember when traveling with kids (especially to Disney) is that overstimulation, exhaustion, and new environments bring extra challenges. Pair that with three wildly different personalities for our kids and some days we are all funky 🥴

We still had a ton of fun today with many memories made. Our last day at Disney was a success!

Tomorrow we start the drive home to NC with a pit stop in Savannah! We are looking forward to being home but will always miss our favorite place!

Checked into our home for the weekend! The kids were shocked when we went under the Disney sign - and been bouncing off the walls since!

Hattie’s suffering from a stomach bug or sea sickness from the rocky boat last night, so we are laying low. She’s eating again and has kept everything down so fingers crossed we are set for a magical weekend!

When you have a family with a wide range of ages, it can be hard to juggle the needs of a toddler and the needs of an almost pre teen.

One of the many reasons we love Disney cruises is because of the wide range of activities offered - and the ability to create a plan that works for your family.

The boys LOVE - I MEAN LOVEEEEEEEEE - the kids club on the ship. Who wouldn’t?! It has Star Wars, an avengers area, create your own roller coaster, princess areas, crafts, imagineering section, and MORE….they would spend all day if they could in there.

Hattie really enjoys the nursery as well, so we decided to let her spend a little time in there this morning and we had a date with just the boys. They requested time in hero zone and we played allll the games for one on one time.

Sad it’s the last day on the ship! What a busy fun week!

We are on a scavenger hunt in Epcot today, we will see if our team comes out the winner! One of the stops was a picture with a princess, so while we took care of that I was able to secure a personal video for my baby girl from her favorite - Elsa!

Maybe she won't remember it....but I will. I'll remember the way she lit up when she saw Minnie Mouse. I'll remember the boys skipping through the cruise ship hallways. I'll remember the wonder in their eyes as they saw the blue waters of the Bahamas for the first time. I'll remember snorkeling with them and seeing all the marine life we had been learning about in our science curriculum in homeschool. I'll remember her excitement running into Donald Duck outside the elevators. I'll remember hearing about how Aiden got to make slime with Stitch in the kids club. Sure, maybe they won't remember everything...but I have the videos and pictures to tell the story and you know who WILL remember it? I WILL. We are in our Disney season of life and love every bit of the fun we have together while at Disney World or on a Disney cruise. 85 days until we are on the road headed to our next Disney Cruise!!!!!

Enjoy the overwhelming joy that was telling our kids that the prize trip Mommy worked SO hard for last year was exactly what we hoped it would be…a DISNEY CRUISE!!!! Later this year we will set sail on our second Disney Cruise. All of 2023 I envisioned THIS moment. Showing our kids how you can work hard and hit challenging goals if you believe in yourself and show up for your dreams. Every client who booked a trip in 2023 contributed to these smiles! Is there anything more relaxing than a beach nap? I’m so thankful for videos that I can freeze a moment in time with. Her salty hair dancing in the wind… Her sandy toes…. The palm trees swaying… My boys playing in the beautiful Bahama water… I don’t know y’all, I may be converted to team Disney Cruise over Disney World 😉

When we decided to do a Disney Cruise I knew there would be lots of opportunities to see characters. Hattie was too little to remember seeing the characters last year at Disney so I was curious at how she would respond. Both of her brothers at this age did not like people in costumes. But from the first deck party Hattie was HOOKED. The magic and wonder in her little face was so sweet. She danced and waved and was obsessed! I’ll share more about her later interactions with Rapunzel, Cinderella, and Minnie 😭 One happy little girl to see her favorites dancing on the pool deck! Worth it!

If I could give you any advice on doing Walt Disney World Resorts with young kids….it’s to have ZERO expectations and to go with the flow. Leading up to our trip this fall my two boys watched Disney coasters on YouTube EVERY SINGLE DAY. They were obsessed! Made plans to ride all the things and couldn’t wait. Well, we quickly learned they aren’t roller coaster fans and we think my middle son has a touch of motion sickness on rides. He rode slinky dog and that was it for coasters on our trip! While it could have been a mood killer we decided to just embrace it and look for all the special non coaster memory making opportunities around us. Thankfully he still loved Toy Story Mania and Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railroad and we enjoyed several shows like Frozen and Beauty And The Beast! One day he might ride the big rides but for now I’m glad he gets a good laugh out of this video from slinky dog!

If you time it right…you can ride Big Thunder Railway during the fireworks at Magic Kingdom and get a view like THIS! We managed to do this twice during our last trip - it was awesome!
