It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved General Manager, Jared Hires. Jared tragically left us while doing what he loved the most, diving into the underwater world to explore its hidden wonders. His boundless enthusiasm, warmth, and genuine care for his team were the hallmarks of his character, making him an irreplaceable part of our dive community. As we collectively mourn the loss of an exceptional person, we also celebrate Jared's remarkable life and the legacy he leaves behind. We take for granted the fragile nature of this adventure we call life. As Cave Divers we blithely dismiss the abyss. But in the end the Abyss wins. To which we give the Abyss our middle finger. To all who venture into the arteries of Mother Earth….. I salute you.

News has broken overnight that the 33 year-old diving industry stalwart, and Dive Rite's General Manager lost consciousness at Plura Cave on Wednesday 3 April 2024.
