During my college years, I had the opportunity to spend a semester on the Walt Disney World College Program, where I lived, worked, and experienced Disney 24/7. This gave me a unique insight to the Disney magic at work. I also have an extensive background in hospitality management. To me, service is the most important thing! We are paid commission from the companies we book vacations with - Disney, Carnival Cruise Lines, Norwegian Cruise Lines, etc. You will pay the same amount of money booking a trip with us as you would if you booked it directly through the company itself. And sometimes we are able to find a better deal because of the special promotions that are available. A reservation transfer may be an option if you have already booked a vacation. Vacation memories….
That one time the sunshine state didn’t live up to its name 🤣 this was at Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party where the temps dropped to 36° that night. Definitely it what we expected!

Experiences like this are why I have been stalking the weather for a month. I’ll be in Orlando next week and happy to see this won’t be a repeat!

After years of delays, the deadline for REAL ID will be here in 2025.

Beginning on May 7, 2025, REAL ID-compliant identification will be required for US residents who plan to fly domestically.

Effective on this date, the federal government will require you to use a valid U.S. passport or obtain a REAL ID. If you have a valid U.S. passport or passport card, military ID or other federally approved identification, you may continue to use it as your form of identification after May 7, 2025.

In addition to domestic flights, Real IDs will also be required when entering federal and state facilities, including courthouses and prisons. They will also be needed to enter secure facilities like nuclear power plants.

Disney memories:

So 14 years ago today, my family was at WDW to celebrate my little (at the time) guy’s 3rd birthday. It was the 1 and only time I had gone during December. We “thought” we were escaping the cold Chicagoland winter weather.....ha! This photo was taken on the WARMEST day while we were there. They broke a 20 year record for temps.

My son & I were just talking about this trip the other day. He remembers the trip but not how cold it was. I always laugh because most of our souvenirs that year were things like these hats and blankets and gloves to keep warm in the parks. Silly us left all the winter gear in the car at the airport back home 🤦🏼‍♀️🤣 All in all though, it was a great trip. And the photos like this make me remember and smile.

Take a visit to Batuu on your next trip to WDW.

After dinner we went to a truly unique show in The Red Room called Untitled Danceshow Partything. Its audience interactive and the stage moves around the room throughout the performance. Note: there is no seating because of this. You will be directed to move when necessary.

Happy National Hammock Day! Many of Disney’s resorts have have hammocks around the grounds meant for lounging, just like this one at Disney’s Hilton Head Island Reaort ….unless you’re a stubborn teen who insists they know how to get into said hammock. This will forever be one of my favorite vacation memories. I think we all needed a relaxing rest in this hammock after laughing as hard as we did! 🤣🤣

One of my favorite things about a Disney cruise is your dining room servers rotate with you each night. They get to know your likes and dislikes food wise, make recommendations, and create a fun atmosphere. Our server on the Wish even gave my teenage son brain teasers each night to add to the fun. They are truly a hidden gem on the ships!

Seven years ago today, I had an experience at Universal Orlando unlike any other. I had the unique opportunity to be a part of the show - I got to ride in the Mardi Gras celebration parade, tossing beads to guests along the way. Over the years this experience has changed a bit and currently there are 2 ways guests can still enjoy this experience: ⚜️ Via Virtual Line: reservations are accepted day of through the Official Universal Orlando app while in park. ⚜️ Via Mardi Gras Float Ride & Dine Experience: Reserve a spot in advance by purchasing a guaranteed spot on the float along with a 3 course meal at one of 4 participating restaurants. It’s truly an unforgettable experience!
